Awesome place to call home. After losing my mom, we moved my father here and he loves it. The apartments are cozy and very spacious and the dining hall is wonderful. All the staff go above and beyond for their residents.

We are truly grateful to everyone at Cedarhurst. My mother loves her place and truly feels at home. We respect and appreciate everyone there. They provide a service clearly devoted to the well-being, both physically and mentally for the residents. I am now more of a cheerleader for Cedarhurst’s senior living because I witnessed their attention to the financial aspect. They caught a discrepancy, and resolved it. That is clearly a big selling point for prospective and current residents, and gives me even more confidence that my mother is in the right place.

Cedarhurst has been a blessing for my father. The staff is very attentive and caring to not only his needs, but to other residents as well. Believe me, my father was NEVER going to move out of his home, but when he/we took the tour (we have looked at several in the area) he said, Yes I want to live here. It was an adjustment for him at first, but now he loves it! He has made new friends and has old friends (from elementary school) that live here as well. Thank you Cedarhurst staff for taking such great care of my Dad!

Cedarhurst, formerly Waterford, is by far the best independent and assisted living community. We moved my Mom and Stepfather in just before the COVID pandemic hit full force. So glad we did! Their apartment is wonderful with a small kitchenette, two bedrooms, two baths, and no kidding closet space! Unheard of in this arena. Tons of options and flexibility with eating meals. The nursing staff and other support staff genuinely care, and will communicate with the family on any and all matters. I looked at many many places and none of them touched what Cedarhurst offers!

We are very pleased with the facility & the care our family member is receiving. Laura Boyle, Director of Sales, was so thorough with the tour and very patient during our decision making process. Providing communal care during the pandemic can be very challenging. Cedarhurst goes the extra mile to keep their residents, visitors and staff safe while providing a family oriented atmosphere.

My Mom has lived at Cedarhurst for almost 3 years now. She is very happy with her apartment and the staff who care for her. We ( the daughters) have peace of mind knowing that Mom is watched over and well cared for. I highly recommend Cedarhurst of Edison Lakes.

When it was time to search for and settle our mother into an Assisted Living apartment, the choice was clear that Waterford at Edison Lakes (now Cedarhurst of Edison Lakes) was the premier place. When youve visited others and then walk into Cedarhurst, you immediately feel and see the difference. The residents appear happy and engaged. It is lively and welcoming. The residents and staff truly care for one another. The peace of mind that we as family have, knowing our mother is safe and secure, living in this community is invaluable.

I recently went to the Waterford to look for assisted living due to my husband having back surgery. The place is clean and the staff are all friendly. Everyone I encountered had a smile on their face. The apartments are very comfortable and they have a respite apartment to use for short stays. They are very affordable and have nursing staff around the clock. My husband ended up getting to go home and didnt need assisted living but if we ever need any services in the future we will definitely be choosing the Waterford.

Choosing an assisted living community for a loved-one is not easy. If only there were a how-to guide to help navigate through the vetting process, numerous decisions, financials, among others. One thing Ive learned is its important to feel good about the team of individuals that you will be working with; but, more importantly, the team that will be spending time with and taking care of your loved-one. I want to thank everyone at The Waterford at Edison Lakes for all that theyve done for my uncle and my family during an extremely difficult time. It takes a village, and we would like to send our gratitude to the entire staff: from nursing and therapeutic services, to front desk receptionists, food services, activities staff, housekeeping - laundry, groundskeeper and maintenance. A special thanks to Laura Boyle (sales director), who was professional, kind and patient from the start. Also, special gratitude to the wellness director, Maureen, and the executive director, Tonya, who have been kind, patient and accessible to answer questions in a timely manner. Thanks to everyone for all that you do for ALL Waterford residents. We are so happy knowing that my uncle is being well cared for by people who are professional, kind and exceptional at what they do.

The Waterford, and specifically Laura Boyle, have helped me navigate an extremely difficult situation. My grandma was living in an assisted living facility that was not up to her needs. However, I had recently moved across the country for employment. I knew it would not be easy to get grandma somewhere she would be safe and happy if I could never see the place in person. When I got in touch with Laura, she gave me A+ service and made me feel comfortable in knowing this would be grandmas last move! She made personalized video tours of her new unit, and put me in touch with a mover who would move grandmas things and set up the new apartment to make it feel like home. I have had to do absolutely everything for this move virtually, and it has gone about as well as possible thanks to the staff at Waterford. The responsiveness and helpfulness is impressive. It has been about a month since the move, and grandma is very satisfied. Almost every time I call her during the day there is someone in her room attending to her. Even during COVID-times, she is still able to socialize with other residents and enjoy her time. Thanks to Waterford at the team!

I have lived here 1.5 years as an independent renter and I love the Waterford. COVID-19 has changed so many things yet the staff do everything they can to keep us safe and happy. We have one of the lowest counts for testing positive for the virus because they watch us closely to assure we dont get sick. I stay as active as I can and have a lot of crafts to work on to avoid boredom. It is definitely worth you time to check it out.

Our Mom absolutely loved the Waterford at Edison Lakes. From the moment she walked into the lobby, Mom felt welcomed and compassionately cared for. Laura Boyle and her team at Waterford made the move for Mom as easy as possible - providing outstanding options for moving support and finding just the right apartment to fit Moms needs. Mom told us, When I walked into the apartment, it just felt like home! She was greeted on her first day by the Welcoming Committee who helped introduce her to others and helped her to quickly develop friendships and become a part of the warm community there. Mom was an amazing cook and particular about where she dined - she really liked the food at the Waterford and the all-day availability of meals. She also enjoyed bingo and the many social activities and staff at the Waterford. Her days were filed with good conversation and enjoyable activities - such a wonderful transition away from the loneliness she had previously experienced living alone. We looked at a number of facilities in the South Bend-Mishawaka area for Mom, and found the Waterford offered the best, full-service, compassionate care for its residents. I highly recommends the Waterford for anyone looking for a warm, caring, safe facility for their loved one.

Im a widow and I lived in my own home for 60+ years. I had a beautiful yard and flower gardens that I loved to work in. My family lived a few hours away and I didnt want them doing more for me than is necessary when they came to visit, I like my independence, so I started relying on my neighbors more and more to help me both in and outside the house. I didnt want to accept the fact I was having a hard time keeping up with the maintenance and daily chores. Turns out my neighbors were concerned and told my daughter. She recommended I move closer to her and move into a senior community. I didnt want to have anything to do with that. Senior living to me meant nursing home. She set up a visit with The Waterford At Edison Lakes and I was pleasantly surprised. It wasnt at all what I had imagined. On my own it was difficult to shop and cook for just me so I ate a lot of popcorn, yogurt and Lean Cuisines. Now, I have so many choices because of the dining room menu. I start my days with morning stretch class then have a lovely breakfast. The meals for lunch and dinner are delicious and the ladies that wait on the tables are so nice. They know I love peppermint ice cream and bring it out before I even ask for it! I love the view of the woods from the dining room, and having people to eat with is so much better than by myself in front of the TV. I didnt realize how much I was missing out on. I have people to talk to, activities to attend, and places to go without feeling like Im a bother. I love my new home and see my family more often. I wish I would have moved to The Waterford at Edison Lakes sooner.

As a fairly new independent resident at the Waterford, I want to share my personal experience with others looking for a pleasant lifestyle in their senior years. My sons brought me to Waterford while I was in a rehab facility. I wasn't happy about them showing me this senior/assistant living community because I purchased a condo and remodeled it as my last home in my senior years. What I didn't plan for were the health issues that I have been experiencing and the lack of social activities because I could not drive anymore or get around to visit family and friends. After taking a tour of the Waterford at Edison Lakes with my sons and asking myself just how long I think I can live on my own before something else goes wrong, I decided to try it. I was drawn to the layout of the facility, the friendliness of the staff and residents living here, the convenience of transportation they provide for doctor appointments and shopping, the social activities, the beautiful dining hall with delicious meals three times a day and their outstanding staff, and MUCH more. My sons are relieved to know that I am not alone if an emergency arises. If I need assistant living I do not have to move to another facility, and I can avoid the depression I was going through because my social activities were reduced. The bottom line is that you get a lot for your money and most important to me is feeling like I am a part of the Waterford family! Linda Lange-2019

Waterford at Edison Lakes is the best choice in our area. Convenient location, pleasant environment and just tucked away where you can enjoy the sound of water and even a bit of wildlife. The occasional deer will make an appearance, along with ducks and birds singing every morning. I drove past Waterford for years, on my way to work, and at first sight, thought it was a quaint boutique hotel. When it came time to research a community that our mother would enjoy, it was the best choice. I visit several times a week, at different times throughout the day and its always the same wonderful experience. I highly recommend Waterford to anyone looking for an affordable home with a safe loving community .

My parents moved to the Waterford at Edison Lakes in Mishawaka IN. in May of 2019 from another assisted living place in Goshen. They LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! It seems like they have their own private home. Even their grandchildren love visiting because it’s just like being at Grandma & Grandpa’s house. ? I love that the Waterford replaces all carpet AND padding, each time a new resident moves in. The walls are all freshly painted, and it’s like a brand new apartment. Another important detail is the residents are in possession of the key to their apartment, family members are not. This gives residents the assurance of complete privacy, plus there are security cameras in the hallways. Laura Boyle is absolutely wonderful to work with, she’s a big help in getting necessary paperwork in order, got an answer to every question I had prior to making the move. The medical staff are obviously well trained and professional, but still warm and friendly. The FOOD! ? I look forward to going for a meal with my parents, as the food is delicious. The dining room is open from 8 AM – 6 PM and it’s restaurant style dining with no assigned seating. My dad LOVES the fact they can choose their own time to eat. Every time I visit my parents, which is 2-3 times a week, there are residents outside sitting on benches, or walking their dogs and residents gathered playing cards in the game room or library. It’s very clear the residents are happy. I have 2 friends whose parents reside at the Waterford and they would echo my review. Kindly Linda Cook

I visited my mother’s friend. They have been friends for the past 83 years. They are both very out going, social, and happy go lucky people. I Have had experience with a couple of Assisted living facilities in Florida and one in Michigan. I have seen all levels of care. While we were visiting, we enjoyed a very nice lunch. The food was better quality than most people have at home. The servers were all so nice and extremely friendly towards my mother’s friend and nice to us. Mom’s friend shared with us all the activities and programs she is in. They even put on plays! When I needed to ask the front desk for some information, they were very accommodating. The place was clean, felt like a northern style home, warm and cozy. The apartments were HUGE in comparison to my friends place in Florida and for a portion of the price. My mother said, if she is to move into an assisted living place, this is where she would like to live. I have to agree, this is where I would feel confident, when the time comes, placing mother in good hands.

My mom recently moved to the Waterford and she absolutely loves it! Her apartment is spacious, the food is wonderful and most of all the staff is warm, friendly and very helpful. She especially enjoys all the social activities that are available for her. When my husband and I first looked at Waterford for an option, we didn't have to look any further! In fact, we asked if we could move in also! We are so happy that mom is enjoying herself and making friends. We have the comfort of knowing that she is in a safe and friendly place that feels like our new extended family.
