Absolutely beautiful community! Could barely walk through the door before I was greeted by two gentleman who were eager to share how much they love living there and how much they are enjoying life! Put a huge smile on my face to hear their stories! Its obvious the staff has gone above and beyond to create a wonderful experience for the residents. So many smiles! Loved seeing a group of ladies in the court heard on my visit, who shared that they were master gardeners, planting all kinds of vegetables, herbs and berries in raised beds. They were very excited to tend to their gardens so that the chef can use their fresh homegrown produce for summer recipes. An all around lovely community full of life and activity!

I perform my magic and mind reading act for over 100 retirement communities a year and I must say Independence Village of Carmel is one of the very best. Each year I always try to get at least two shows with them. I would do more shows with them if I could! They are a beautiful community with a fantastic staff and super friendly residents. Each time I enter the community I am always welcomed with friendly smiles from the receptionist, office workers, and residents. The staff always has my performance area ready to go and always meet my specifications to have a perfect show. I would recommend this community to anybody looking for a luxurious living experience. I look forward to returning very soon!

First off the overall facility is a beautiful space with lots of community gathering spaces including a wonderful theater on the 3rd floor. The memory care unit has a lovely lake house feel with a beautiful court yard for the residents to enjoy the outdoors. With amazing, helpful and caring staff who provided excellent care I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great place for their family members.

Beautiful and pristine, in a fantastic location. Our tour was very informative and the gentleman who toured us was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were asked to stay for lunch and the food was top notch. If you are looking for senior living, make this one of your stops. It is definitely at the top of our list.

After looking at a number of places we found Independence Village of Carmel the best fit for mom. Kyle spent a lot of time showing my hesitant mom the available apartments and amenities; we appreciate his patience. Kyle even arranged a lunch for mom with a long time resident to discuss the community and answer all her questions. Independence Village has just transitioned to new ownership and is navigating new contracts. Michael and Kyle were very willing to work with us to make sure the contract reflected what we had all discussed. We dont have experience with everything to give a full review but the move in and first couple of days have gone well. The staff at Independence Village has been helpful and accommodating and the neighbors have been great in welcoming mom. There is a full calendar, we are looking forward to seeing what mom selects to get involved in.

My family was recently confronted with the very daunting task of moving our Mother cross the country (Colorado) back to Indy. She was in recently put into an assisted living facility there after a surgery. It wasnt working out being so far away from her. The decision was made to Move her here to Indy closer to family which meant finding the correct place for Mom that would both take very good care of her and was affordable as well. We found exactly that at Independence Villages of Carmel. We toured several different places, some nicer than others, but none that we felt were as nice and accommodating as at this facility! And believe it or not it was the most affordable across the board, of them all of them when comparing apples to apples and considering all the amenities and services that were offered. After making the decision to go with Independence Villages of Carmel, the transition process seemed overwhelming to say the least.....But The staff here was Amazing! They were not only welcoming but they had a checklist of items for us to get accomplished and the helped guide us through getting them all accomplished. They were All instrumental in making the process as smooth as possible throughout the entire process. Their staff helped from us start to finish. From our first tour of the facility, to getting our Moms medical screening and records and info in order, to helping us get moved in....Kyle, Michael, Lisa, Izzy, Beatrice and the rest of the staff All played an important role in making our Moms transition from out of State not only a smooth and easy one but made our family, especially Mom, feel welcome! Our Mom loves it at Independence Villages and we are very happy and rest at ease knowing she is well taken care of everyday by their staff. Cant thank the staff and Administration of the facility enough for being so Welcoming and doing everything they could to make this daunting process a smooth and easy one! I have been here since right before we opened and I love it. Could not imagine not being here. We have absolute amazing residents that I love like my own family and I work with some really great people as well. I think every place has their flaws but one thing I can say for Carmel Senior Living is that what ever the issue may be they do whatever it takes to not only rectify the issue but learn from it and make things even better.

The facility is wonderful, my grandmother currently lives here and it has been a great experience with one unfortunate exception. The front desk staff and all staff have almost always been kind however with one exception, one blonde older staffer who often works nights is very unkind to my grandmother. Often shell openly sigh and act very inconvenienced when we ask for any kind of assistance or information. Shes often chatting with her friends on the phone and my grandmother has told me she will ignore her. My grandmother has Alzheimers and is often forgetful and will sometimes ask a question a few times before it sticks and it would make sense for the staff to be understanding of that but she has made my grandmother cry and very upset on a few occasions. It makes us very sad because outside of this staffer, it has been a wonderful experience. I strongly recommend it as it makes for a good home where she can have visitors often.

I visited this place several times and always found people to be super friendly and helpful. I also found their memory care section to be quite pleasant.We had lunch there and the food was tasty. I just wish that the food could have been warmer.I should have asked them to reheat it. My mom ended up picking another location but CSL was a strong contender.

When we first visited Carmel Senior Living, the Director met with us and gave us a tour even though we did not have an appointment. Her interest in providing us with the information needed to make a decision was genuine and compassionate. There was no pressure or sales pitch. When we moved our loved one in, the staff almost immediately knew his name and made efforts to make sure that table mates were available for meals. Our loved one is very happy, thinks the food is excellent and has made many friends, which we never expected. Cheers to the staff for caring so much!

I met Liz and had a very informative and friendly tour with her. She asked pertinent questions and took to heart all of my comments. I never felt a high pressure sales presentation, but more so a genuine interest in our needs for my mother-in-law who maybe a prospective resident.

I am very happy with the care my mother has received at Carmel Senior Living, both in Assisted Living and Memory Care. Although my mother can be difficult, staff has consistently been kind and patient with her, even at times when they weren't aware that I was watching. It has been my experience that staff notices and attends to patient needs and communicates with me. I should probably add that my mother has been in other facilities and Carmel Senior Living has taken the best care of my mother.

We lived in CSL for a little over two years, first in Assisted Living and then moved to the Independent side. There were some staff changes while we were there, but I can honestly say that the staff in place now is the best any facility could possibly have. When issues would come up, whether it was maintenance, dining or personal, they were handled quickly by The Executive Director (Rita) or one of the directors of the appropriate department. The concierge staff, especially Sheri, always went above and beyond to help the residents in any way necessary. And Anthony, we couldnt possibly leave out the hardest working member of the housekeeping team who always went the extra mile. Theres a genuine fondness for the residents that shows through in all they do. The Priority Rehab people, led by Larry, were both helpful and fun. It was a joy for the husband to go to the gym. And the residents who became our dear friends and neighbors were so warm and welcoming, making us immediately feel at home. We miss them now that weve moved to Florida. We heartily recommend CSL to anyone looking to make the move to senior living. Theres always something to keep you physically and mentally active with great people who become like family.

My father-in-law needed short-term respite care in an ADA compliant environment prior to and after a surgery. He also needed PT and OT most days. Carmel Senior Living provided exactly what he needed over his 3 1/2 month stay. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The residents seemed very happy and made him feel welcome. Though he didnt participate in many of the activities, I was impressed with the variety of activities available to residents. His stay was a positive experience for him and our family members and we would definitely recommend taking a tour to see if it is right for you or your loved one!

I have placed a few client at Carmel Senior Living as well, Rita Shew the Executive Director is wonderful and cares so much about each an every resident and their family. The building and each room is spacious, clean, food is able to be order from a menu and even taste wonderful. They have a very spacious Memory Care as well with loving and caring CNA's. Lots of activities for residents to participate inside and outside of the building. Your loved ones will enjoy their new home if you choose CSL.

As a senior living placement consultant I am often asked, "Where is a good place for my mom or dad to move to as I don't feel they're safe to take care of themself anymore?" I typically respond with "What are your concerns about their safety?" I hear everything from they have fallen lately, they look like they are going to fall, they are slowing down, they can't cook, or I just want someone to keep an eye on them. For all of those reasons and many others I highly recommend Carmel Senior Living for Independent or Assisted Living as well as their beautiful memory care wing. If you are looking for luxury that feels like home at a very reasonable price for mom or dad, than look no further!

It is a great place !!! we enjoy everything, it truly is home. The staff are great people. They have something for everybody to do if they want to. The food is good and the severs we have are so kind and very good.They go and do everything to please you.I would recommend it to anyone and have to a lot of people. Carmel Senior Living has always felt warm and welcoming. I don't just have coworkers, I have friends and family I know I can rely on for more than just work. I think thats what sets us apart from most places, that extra warmth and commitment. You truly know that when you are putting your loved ones in these people's hands, you are putting them in the hands of some of the most caring, upbeat, loving and over all hard working staff one could seek out.
