I was extremely apprehensive about hiring a care-giver service for my parents. My previous experience with a local agency proved to be a bad one and a costly one!Once again, I needed to find additional care for my parents and due to what happened before I did not want to go through another bad experience.This time I was very lucky- I would say very blessed! Ive worked here for a few months now and I can honestly say its one of my favorite jobs. The owners Katerina, Daniel, and Cody are so great to work with and always cater to their caregivers and clients. Great flexible hours, easy scheduling, and easy to use app that has everything you could need. Im so sad to be leaving them for school but I will always be ranting and raving about them!

Fantastic people from the start.Katarina and her father Glenn are just wonderful. The two girls they sent to my moms house are wonderful. My mom is so excited everyday and laughs and giggles like a young girl. She enjoys them immensely and is cooking for me, instead of me cooking for her !! Recently my wife had a major surgery and needed someone to be with her at home.I looked at a lot of possibilities, it was a hard decision for me to make. I chose First Light Home Care of Algonquin-Elgin. I talked with Katerina Garbowicz the agency Director-Owner.Katerina was the nicest and most understanding person you could ask for. The personnel from her company were fantastic. I would not hesitate to use Katerina and her company again if needed.

We want to thank everyone at First Light for all the great care you have and are providing for our Mom. Moms primary weekday caregiver, Navi, is simply wonderful. She is extremely capable, professional and is thought of by us all as even more than a friend … shes like family. Similarly, Jacquelin has not only provided great care for Mom, but is an excellent teacher as weve seen when shes training newer caregivers that havent worked with Mom before. Also, and very importantly, weve never been left without qualified back-up on those rare occasions when a caregiver was on vacation, became unexpectedly ill, etc. Katarina, Cody and Glen always do their best and we truly appreciate it.Thank you … The Regal family.
