Extremely frustrated with the evaluation interview at Eastgate. Our impression was that the Nursing Director was looking for an excuse not to admit my sister, who would be moving from another assisted living facility that she has been at for 3 years. This was a completely different impression from what we received from the Admissions person after 2 visits to the facility, who identified an apartment, etc. Although this facility claims to be for assisted living and is funded by the state to do this, the screening process was to determine how independent a person was, so that they would require the least amount of assistance. If your loved one needs assistance, stay away from this place! They are very deceptive and we were completely blindsided by the Nursing Director and Executive Director's denial of admittance.

My mom recently celebrated her 1 year anniversary. She has enjoyed her experience much better than her Tower Hill of Elgin experience. Better Covid management and much better living facilities.

Our experience at Eastgate Manor was good. The apartments were good. They have crafts, field trips, and games like bingo. They offer three meals a day. The staff is excellent and very good.

We've chosen Eastgate Manor, and so far, Mom likes it there. They have very nice, comfortable, and spacious rooms. She likes the food a lot, but they gave her ice cream which she doesn't like to eat. They have a library, craft room, computer access, salon, and a gathering area with a very large TV.

Very nice SLF for seniors. My Mom has been here almost four years and enjoys it. The facility affords them independence, but also assistance when needed. Meals are good, care is very good!

Eastgate Manor was very close to my brother's home and my home, so we could still be there a lot and help our mother when she needed it. We looked for the cleanliness, how well the residents were, and how happy they were. The residents seemed to be very happy with their situation, and some of them were there for a long time. We really didn't have the chance to try much of the food, but they had a little kitchenette, and my mother still cooked pretty often.

Eastgate Manor is beautiful. The layout is great and the people are very friendly and very helpful. The activities they have are enjoyable and everyone looked very content. The facility is clean. The apartment is smaller and doesnt have a full refrigerator, stove or dish washer.

This was by far the best place my mom could've lived. The CNAs and nurses were amazing! The food was fabulous and the dining room workers almost always seemed happy to be at work. There were so many activities going on daily that my mom was almost never in her room. And when there weren't activities, she was busy hanging out with friends playing games or just visiting. Families always felt welcome. Eastgate is amazing!
