I had an amazing experience with this company recently (especially one of their caregivers-Bailey). The care and empathy she provided to one of my clients was amazing. She was able to recognize that the this client was not doing well and with her assistance we were able to get the client to the hospital to get the care they needed. Bailey went up and beyond her duties that day and I am extremely grateful for this! It is reassuring to know that she is not just there "doing a job" but she is there caring for these clients! I currently work here part time and it is a lovely company! The ladies at the office are super uplifting and very kind and understanding; the clients are wonderful; & speaking not only for myself but for other caregivers as well- the staff/caregivers truly care about our clients and we strive to go above and beyond every chance we get. My family highly recommends Home Care Assistance. Everyone at Home Care Assistance is friendly and easy to work with. Our care giver for our almost 100 year old mother, who is still in her own home, is Kadeja; she is so nice and is so patient. She helps Mom with housework, laundry, going to the store, and just this week took Mom to get her glasses fixed. We are very grateful to her and to Home Care Assistance for their kind care of our mother.

Liz and Destiny have been great to work with. I wasn’t sure what to expect at first but they came in, explained the process and have been amazing from day one. I love that it’s the same person every visit, Destiny is very thoughtful and really cares about the patients she works with. Chris and Caitlin were great to work with, they got to know my mom and her background and they took wonderful care of my mother. Home Care Assistance has been an incredible experience for us as a family. We all live far away and being able to trust and rely on our caregivers for our mother is really important. They have failsafe systems in place so that someone always is with her. They are excellent communicators via the family portal, email and text. It was very important to have consistent care enabling a bond between our mother and her caregivers. She is happier and less agitated than she has been in a long time. She has even started to paint again. I would recommend them to anyone who needs consistent and experienced home care for their loved one.

This is by far the most AMAZING home care company i have ever been blessed to work for! I have been working as a cna in health care for over 8 years now. NONE HAVE COMPARED to the upmost respect and appreciation aand understanding they have for their employees AND clients!! You literally get to pick your schedule for real, as long as there are clients that need assistance in your availability of course. Management goes above and beyond to make sure their employees are comfortable to work where their scheduled, they offer any extra training if anyone would like it (they dont just force you into learning how to train yourself on something you havent yet learned the skills to do). Management and scheduling are so easy to talk to if you have any questions or concerns or need to make any changes to your availability. This company is where you want to work if you are a compassionate caregiver looking for a great company to work for. I finally can love my job all the way around and feel good working for a good company and with great clients! 🙂

Our mom needed in-home care this year. She is now 90 and really wants to continue to remain in her home. The staff at Home Care Assistance are have been instrumental in making that happen. We all work full-time jobs so were unable to care for our mom during the day. They come in the morning and prepare her breakfast and lunch, work with her on memory exercises and take her to appointments as needed. Staff are kind and caring and treat her with love and respect. My mom enjoys the visits and I am confident that they provide the best care possible. They have been assisting her since January 2019 and within the first 9 months her weight had improved from 97 to 111lbs. She feels better, is more energetic and is much happier. The administrative staff are flexible and work with you to best meet your family members needs. Thank you, Home Care Staff.

I have worked at Home Care Assistance Im Des Moines since May of 2018. I have had nothing less than a great experience working here. Chris Cruse is one of the best bosses an employee could ask for. He cares about his clients and his staff so much. Anytime I have needed help or had a question he has answered his phone right away and helped without hesitation. He is flexible, understanding, and wants the best for everyone. At home care assistance we get online trainings educating staff on topics such as: basic care, how to care for clients with dementia, advanced Alzheimers, kosher care, how to cook nutritious meals for clients and much more! Staff are formally introduced to new clients and have the care plan explained to them. As a nursing student in the bachelors program at mercy college of health sciences, I knew I wanted a job in healthcare. I was lucky enough to start working at home care assistance. I have learned to many things and loved all of my clients with my whole heart. I can truly say this is a wonderful organization!

What a pleasure to work with the outstanding and caring professionals at Home Care Assistance.My experience began in crises when my Mother needed immediate assistance in her home and I was unable to meet all of her needs. The folks at Home Care Assistance were enormously helpful to me in accessing the needed care under some tight time parameters. In addition, they matched my Mom with caregivers who were qualified, competent, caring and flexible.For many months, Home Care Assistance remained flexible in meeting my Moms needs and were more than willing to rethink care plans and make adjustments at my Mothers request or mine as needed and as her health status changed. was especially pleased with the continuity of care provided by Home Care Assistance. On the first caregiver visit, a supervisor (whom my Mother had already met during the initial assessment) came with the caregiver assigned to make introductions and address needed details. A backup caregiver was also introduced to my Mother who covered in the event the primary caregiver assigned was unable to come. The result was that my Mother knew her caregivers, felt secure and her care plan worked well because the same caregivers were assignedI liked that I could log in to the Home Care Assistance web site whenever a caregiver visited to review the notes and the management team encouraged me to contact them with any questions or concerns. On the few occasions I did contact them, my concerns were quickly addressed.My Mothers caregivers provided assistance to me in getting my Mother to needed appointments and other errands as I was not always available to do so. This happened safely, efficiently and my Mother had an enjoyable time. Because I had access to the notes on the web site, I knew immediately how appointments, etc... wenI am thankful for quality and compassionate care giving provided and felt comfortable in entrusting my Mothers care to these professionals. This is my first ever public review but it was needed. Home Care Assistance and the team (Chris and Kat) surpassed any expectations that I had. When my mom was being released from Skilled nursing back home I was terrified, overwhelmed and exhausted. They helped with the transition - eased my worry, and offered up not only solutions but personally implemented them. I cant even begin to thank them for everything they have done to make my mom and my family feel comfortable, safe and most importantly loved!
