The love and care they give is a real blessing to the residents

I have stayed with my mother for several days this last year. I live in Texas so I try to spend as much time as possible with her. The rooms are large and kept clean. The food is usually delicious and the servings are a very nice size. The have a social director that puts together some very entertaining or sometimes educational activities. Best of all, is the care they receive from the staff. There are a few staff members that have a God given talent to work with senior citizens. It is very difficult to insist that one of your loved ones needs to move from their home to a facility. Knowing that my mother is not alone and she will receive the care that is needed, has been a relief to many family members. She has a chance to enjoy life and share it with others.

My mom fell in her garage on March 24th of this year. Which resulted in two pelvic fractures. After spending some time in the hospital she realized she could no longer be on her own. I leave 85 miles away because she lived in Grinnell. I was so pleased when she agreed to come to Perry. Honestly if we hadnt found the Lutheran Home Im not sure what we would done. She is so happy here. The staff and residents are so kind. There are activities going on all the time so she is seldom in her room (she would be sitting in her chair at home doing nothing ). Thank you Perry Lutheran Home Betty and Jeannie for loving my mother like you own.

Everyone Ive met here has a huge heart and love for the residents they care for! Lots of purposeful and unique events and activities - Music & Memory, Acorns & Oaks on-site daycare, weekly bible study and worship, service projects, and the list goes on. Perry Lutheran Home has changed my perspective on what a nursing home is and should be!

Great work atmosphere with resident centered care! Offers skilled level of care, assisted living, home health services. Very clean facility with updated and remolded rooms, units. Offers specialized care to dementia residents on secure units.
