I do not live at KH. A person living there complained to me that they are charging $5 extra to put their meals in a take out box. He urged me to write a review. This person feels it presents a medical risk due to Covid to dine in, but also does not want to pay the $5 for take out box fee. I have written this review as requested.

I used to live on Maui when there was a grand piano in the lobby. I’m a physically challenged person. The manage was kind enough to let me use to pool for exercise and play the piano. Many residents would sit nearby and listen to me play. Now I’m a senior in need of a residence there. Since my mom died in September, I no longer need to reside here in NJ. I WANT to move back to Maui where I put all my possessions in storage so I could serve mom for the last 20 of her 102 years. RIP Mom. Please keep me posted Re housing.

Based on observation of their facilities and amenities, it's a nice and more affordable? (~4k/mo) senior living apartment compared to others that my client and his family visited. Complete with dining room or in-room tray service. 3 floors with swimming pool, pool table, beauty shop, library, TV room, private dining area overlooking the main dining room and a variety of programs to join throughout the week. There's an in-house physical therapy service on the ground floor same level as the garden. It's set up like a hotel with an atrium in the center. The toilets are low, not senior friendly. The room my client got has a kitchenette, living room area, bedroom, balcony, bathroom with tub shower. The staff were friendly and the building fairly clean.

My physical therapist, Venture physical therapy is located inside Kalama Heights. Convenient location, easy access and they have a pool you can use for therapy. You can use any of the equipment as long as you are a patient

So many changes the past 6 mos.....not for the better.Also, very poor internet service. It used to be good, but its not good now, & I doubt it will improve.

Such a kind & caring staff, great location, beautiful building. There is a pool, the exercise facility cant be topped, they have physical therapists on staff, its a really amazing community.

My mom in law loves this place! The people are wonderful and the food is great! She is a very picky eater and we were really worried when we first moved here there, but she says the food is so good, she hardly ever misses a meal! They have 4 choices every meal and she says all of them are great, she has hard time making up her mind which one to try. Great compliments to the Chef!
