Arbor Terrace of East Cobb – Reviews
We have been very very pleased with the excellent care my mother has received at Arbor Terrace. The administrative staff, the nurses and the ladies who attend her are just wonderful. She enjoys the food and she really likes the entertainment that they have brought in.We are so happy that she is happy and it was so be of the best Places that we looked at.
When looking for an assisted living facility for my mother, the whole staff at Arbor Terrace kept in contact the whole way through, managing expectations and never leaving me guessing what happens next or when. During the few months my mother has been a resident, its become apparent that she is well cared for and given so many opportunities to engage with the other residents and staff. I feel really good about her being in their hands. After all, peace of mind is an important aspect to family life - knowing your loved one will have the same level of care as when they were at home. Thank you Arbor Terrace for helping our family during this important time in our lives.
The facilities are well maintained and my mothers room is very spacious. The best part however is the loving staff. They are all a blessing and Im grateful for the care they provide my mother.
Arbor Terrace of East Cobb has been a godsend for my family. From the administration, to the nursing staff, to the maintenance staff, each and every one of them has been nothing but knowledgeable, compassionate and dedicated. There are not enough positive praises I could provide to show my total appreciation for the individuals that work here endlessly and tirelessly. My family and I will be forever grateful for the skilled care that has been demonstrated to both of my parents.
My Mom has lived at Arbor Terrace of East Cobb for the past 5 years. She has progressed from Assisted Living to Memory Care in these 5 years. The staff is very caring, kind and attentive to her needs. They provide a lot of fun and engaging activities that are tailored to the residents ability. The staff worked hard to keep my Mom in communication with me during Covid - phone calls, FaceTime and outdoor visits. When I text or email a staff member, they always respond very quickly. They truly strive to keep each resident engaged and happy. I would highly recommend Arbor Terrace of East Cobb for your aging parents, spouse or loved one.
My mother has been at Arbor for several years now. We are overall very pleased. They have always been responsive to our concerns. They keep me aware of any changes in her mood or condition. They always have her ready to go when she has outside doctor appts. The nurse in her heart doctors office just commented on how thorough they were in supplying written reports. I feel like she is in a good place and I would recommend them. Ken P.
I chose Arbor Terrace of East Cobb for many reasons but the top of my list was their willingness to accommodate my parents particular situation. Mom and Dad had been married 66 years and my Father was in his 11th year of Alzheimers and needing more care than I could provide. As I began the search for a facility, my healthy Mother insisted I not separate them and Arbor was willing to help in keeping them together. After the required assessment of my Dad, they lived happily together in the same apartment for nearly two years. Unfortunately, my Dad has since passed which Arbor handled professionally and with much compassion. My Mother, still in good health, enjoys Arbor and their staff so much, she has insisted on staying in her and Dads apartment. I would recommend Arbor Terrace of East Cobb as I have enjoyed the friendly staff, the quality of care, and the respect my parents were given and my Mother continues to enjoy today.
Arbor Terrace at East Cobb takes amazing care our loved one. She knows shes well cared for and expresses her appreciation often for the caregivers, always talking about how kind the staff is to her, and how good the food is. The staff made it so much easier on us, its always a hard decision to move onto a higher level of care, and they were there for us and our loved one every step. Theyve gone above and beyond with safety for covid as well, and we know we made the right choice!
If you are looking for exceptional nursing care and a place just like home for your love ones, this is the place to be. I have been visiting this facility for over 8 years, I have seen this facility grow and blossom into a dozen of roses. Beautiful staff, friendly environment and full of LOVE.
Arbor Terrace is taking wonderful, attentive care of my dad. Since day one, he has felt welcomed and respected. I couldnt ask for better care for him. The staff is readily available when I have questions or concerns and are quick to help out. He needs some nudging to join activities but enjoys them when hes there especially happy hour with live performances. His favorite part of the building is the patio, which he visits several times a day. Nice sized with pretty landscaping. Arbor Terrace was the only place we visited when looking for assisted living places for him. It felt like home to him from the get go!!
My wife has been a memory care resident for almost two years. The staff have been genuinely kind to her, and very supportive of me. When I was no longer able to care for her at home, I moved her here. It was a painful time, but the staff from the front office to the memory care unit helped me make the transition. And now, during this covid crisis, they have done a masterful job of keeping the virus away.
Everyday my mom tells me how much she loves her home at AT of East Cobb. She feels safe, the staff are kind and attentive, and she enjoys the new friends she has made since moving there. It has been a great move for her.
My mom moved in mid-Covid, and they have done a wonderful job of keeping her engaged, making her feel important, and caring for her, overall.
I have been partnering with Arbor Terrace of East Cobb for more than 7 years now. In my 28 years of experience this senior living community stands out because of its warm and kind care. From management on down all staff goes far above job duties to provide a loving home atmosphere. When my mother required respite care following surgery I selected Arbor Terrace of East Cobb for her stay. The care coordination was great, the rooms are well maintained and clean and the food quality and choices left nothing to be desired. During this past year I was impressed with the safety measures that were implemented quickly to keep residents and staff safe and healthy and I am proud to work with this community.
Friendly staff and residents.
This is where I work. Beautiful place with good people.
Well run clean place with superior staff.
My mom is in the memory care wing of this multi level care facility. I moved her there 2 months ago from a dismal long term care facility in Alabama. Since in their care, her mental state has greatly improved I think due to the attention and care provided. The routine activities including games, live music, gatherings, and outdoor availability all contribute to client engagement. The decor is nice and clean. The staff during the week are all attentive and caring. The area of improvement to consider is the part time staff. More training to address customer service needs pertaining to their job would help with quality of care.
My family and I were blessed with a great transition moving my father from one facility to Arbor terrace. The support staff were always smiling and made sure you were part of the community family as well as my Dad.
Great and wonderful things happening here!!! Thank you for having me!
We moved my mother in law who has Dementia here from an Independent Living Facility in Florida and I'm so happy we did it. We looked at several places and one of the reasons we moved her here was when we were taking a tour, Caroline the Executive Director knew everyones name and addressed them as we were walking through. No other community did that. Carrie the Senior Care Counselor always makes it a point to stop and talk with her. Susan the Engagement Director is always looking for new and fun things for the residents of the community and takes the time to get to know each resident.
Arbor Terrace of East Cobb was nice. The person who gave us the tour was very nice. The rooms were good, and the dining room was nice. We didn't get a good feeling about the staff, though. Perhaps the one or two people we saw weren't that outgoing. It was a pretty nice facility. I also liked their approach to having a kind of interim community between assisted living and memory care. It was sort of an intermediate situation in which you still had freedom to move about if you knew the place well, but you were more limited as to where you could go on the floor even though you had more control of your actions. The memory care residents were pretty much isolated in their area. So, we liked that about it.
I have been to Arbor Terrace, and it was really lovely. They have a resident little dog -- a very small friendly dog -- which I think is important. The environment was very bright, open, and stately. It gives you a very secure feeling and very solid. Its beautiful. The staff was young, helpful, and energetic. In fact, they contacted me after I left with that help from a geriatric consultant because my husbands diagnosis was initially incorrect, we were just lost as to how to handle it, and they were very helpful. They were wonderful and great. They have two levels of memory care: assisted living -- which is standard assisted living -- and then they have what they called bridge memory care which is kind of in between assisted living and memory care. From that unit, you can either stay there or go on to memory care or back to assisted living; its really kind of nice. They have full memory care as well. It was clean, it didnt smell bad, and it was very pretty. I really like the artwork, they put a lot of money for the décor, and they have lovely courtyards, outdoor places, and gardens. Nobody gets lost. Another good thing about it is that they have just gotten their assisted living license. They have just moved from a personal care home to an assisted living.
I like Arbor Terrace because they have a lock off feature in the front. You have to put a code to get in which was nice. Their rooms was larger also, probably larger than any other facility. I would feel comfortable putting my family in the room. It has a water feature outside that my dad can look at, and the staff seemed like they were just happy to be there. I really liked it.
I have been in Arbor Terrace since August. I like it very much. It's very clean, the dining room is very nice. I have two daughters. One is in Kennesaw, one is in Johns Creek so this was the middle. The food is something I don't want to discuss. I don't like the food, that's the only bad thing about it. The accommodations are fine. The staff is great, I have nothing but praise for them. They have bingo, exercise and trivia night. They have people come, play the piano and sing. There is always something going on.
I chose Arbor Terrace for my grandmother because of the location, its cleanliness, the overall facility and the knowledge of the staff. They have walking grounds, courtyards, sitting areas, a barbecue grill. They're family oriented as well. She has her own private bath, private bedroom and she has a sitting area. They provide total care, medications, and meals. Staff could be more knowledgeable when it comes to medication.
