My Brother was placed in Pacifica in a lets say , an emergency situation. The executive director and her staff went way over and above moving him in and taking care of his needs. I cannot express my gratitude enough for their efforts. They truly care about their patients and have always been attentive on any questions that I've had for his care. I live out of state so this gives me a peace of mind that i know he is being taken care. I would highly recommend them !

Pam gave us a great tour. My parents were there in 2007 and now my friends and I are at the age where we are looking. Like that it is affordable and that pets can come at no charge. I believe the kitchens could use a little updating as well as the halls. The meals looked delicious and love all the activities. Loved the one bedroom with den but want a patio to the outside for our little pup Murphy. It will be my place of choice whenever I or my husband are left alone. Keep it in shape and fresh.

Horrible place and horrible management. Director [name removed] should be fired. She increased the rent by $1,500 per month after 5 months of having my mother in law at Pacifica. My wife had to call DCF to report abuse and neglect (after two trips to the hospital due to suspicious fallings, after an inept caregiver threw cold water at my mother in law, after cottage 3 was left unattended all night because no one showed up to work) and In retaliation [name removed] kicked my mother in law out of Pacifica. One caregiver for 12-14 residents in each cottage. Some caregivers are abusive and the best ones quit because they are overworked and unappreciated by [name removed]. Pacifica Corporate FIRE [name removed]!

My husband is here. The staff in his cottage are wonderful. Beautiful facility with nice amenities. Only drawback is laundry. They need a better system. I can't tell you how many new towels, shorts of his have been lost. Weird since I write his name on everything.

My step dad has been in memory care at Pacifica for 1.5 years. During the first 6 months we had our doubts. However, new management with needed changes has made Pacifica a comfortable, safe and caring home for him. Despite his progressive Alzheimers, he is happy and content. We are very happy with Pacifica! 4 STARS . . . always room to get even better!!!

When considering a senior living facility for a loved one, there are a variety of considerations. First and foremost, the facility should feel more like a home than a facility. Pacifica Senior Living Belleair definitely feels like a home. Pacifica Belleair has seven cottages, each with the capacity to house 12 residents, along with beautiful dining and living areas. Residents also have the ability to walk outside where they have access to gazebos and paved walkways to walk for exercise. A second consideration is the staff who work closely with the residents day in and day out. Each cottage at Pacifica Belleair has two aides to assist residents with their daily living needs. This ratio of 12 residents to two aides is fantastic. In addition, the aides support the residents in so many ways that you can't even imagine. My mother has daily living needs that require some help with mobility, some help with daily hygiene, some help with toileting, and some help ensuring she is wearing a new change of clean clothes each day. The cottage aides are very good about meeting my mother's needs, and they often do so with kindness and care. While my mother does not often participate in the daily activities, I do see others enjoying bus trips to local parks, having fun playing noodle ball, being creative with arts and crafts, and enjoying the monthly birthday bash. Periodically, entertainers perform in the community building, and the residents genuinely enjoy the music and friendship associated with these events.Finally, probably the most important consideration is the staff. I would characterize all of the staff as friendly and committed to the residents in their care. Like all families, we have to work out issues every now and again, but I have always appreciated the professional manner in which the staff problem solves and works with each resident's family members. It is agony and heartbreak to admit that our family is not able to meet our mother's needs in her own home. We are glad to have found Pacifica Senior Living Belleair as the next best option. TJF

I cannot tell you what a wonderful ALF this is. Granted it has been over two years since I have worked here, it still has a special place in my heart. I loved the staff, the cottages and wish I had never parted ways. It was always clean, the caregivers were wonderful and even though I believe Lisa is no longer at the front desk, she was such a great first impression! I have worked at a few Assisted Livings and this was by far the most impressive!

Pacifica senior living is a place that anyone would love to call home. The staff at Pacifica have so much compassion and care have no problem going the extra mile. The cottage style homes are wonderful lovely gated community where the residents can safely enjoy the day .The D.O.N is so amazing with not only the residence but all the staff one of the most understanding people Ive ever met always making sure that things are being taken care of. The Administration here is great to work with always smiles and Im so happy that I am part of the Pacifica senior living Community and family

Such a unique layout which offers a true homelike environment due to the cottage style layout. You will not find another assisted living community specializing in memory care that offers a better caregiver to resident (patient) staffing ratio. Residents typically live together in cottages with others on the same cognitive levels which allows for a better overall quality of life for residents in this community. This setup benefits both residents and staff due to the smaller staffing ratios. Unique bonds are formed between the residents, family members, and front line staff.Unlike most memory care communities that are often dedicated hallways, floors, or wings of larger assisted living facilities, Pacificas residents are not confined within a small area. The cottages and outside areas give residents the ability to roam freely outdoors in a safe gated environment where they are not confined. We all wish for our loved ones the ability to age in place inside thier own home. In reality, that cant nor doesnt always work out. For those dealing with memory impairment, Alzheimers, or dementia, Pacifica Belleair is the next best thing to home!

My Mother has been at Pacifica Belleair for a little over a year. She has made significant improvements. The Care staff is very caring and attentive. The head nurse seems to work tirelessly to make sure the residents are cared for in the proper manner.

My father was at Pacifica for 5 weeks with hospice. The entire staff went out of their way to make my familys last days with Mr Richard enjoyable, comfortable and loving. The campus is beautiful and serene. My family couldnt have picked a better place for my father. I will be eternally grateful for our experience there.

Caring for a loved one with memory issues is complex and often difficult.When our family could no longer provide the care our loved one needed, Pacifica was there to help us. I am so grateful to have found such a caring community. The loving attention and care my loved one receives while living in a beautiful cottage with other people she can relate to and interact with is wonderful. Its comforting to know she is being so well cared for by kind and attentive people. I highly recommend this community.

Pacifica is by far the top choice in memory care facilities. If you have seen or experienced other Dementia and Alzheimers places, then you can see the difference. The ability to have our loved one safe and secure while having the ability to experience the outside and walk around and see the sights is the greatest gift of all.

My Mother-in-Law has been in Pacifica Bellair for over a year now. My wife and I are continuously pleasantly surprised how well everything has worked out an how accommodating management and staff are. We had tried 8 hrs per day inhome care, and that was expensive and really tied us down meeting the care givers schedule, or not showing, etc. So we tried Pacifica as 8 hr day-care only, then extended it to 10, then 12 hrs a day, by which time it was less expensive to make it full time, and bring her home at night, now only on the weekends. This was all fine with Management. And they have many activities for the residents, like games, dog visits, singers, etc. even weekly outings to restaurants and city tours which we had not anticipated. And costs are reasonable, for 24 hr care, in a small settings - 14 or so residents per cottage makes it personal To us, a great place.

I placed my mom, who has dementia, at Pacifica for respite care for two months and everything went so well, we placed here for a longer stay. She is always happy when I visit and they have lots of really fun activities for them to do to keep them stimulated and social. My favorite is the regular live jazz music with a couple that is amazingly interactive and loving with the seniors. I never announce my arrival and mom is always happy and clean. The nurses and staff treat mom like she is their baby, I couldnt ask for a nicer place. Still getting used to not being moms caregiver, but I am glad it is me having a hard time and not my mom.

Pacifica is one of the best memory units I have the privilege to visit. Pacifica provides a great mix of Skilled nursing and caregivers to ensure residents recieve the right amount of support for them individually. Promoting health and independence for their residents. They also provide a wide variety of activities designed to keep the family and patient active.
