Memory Care here was an absolute nightmare under the prior sr. leadership. There have been four different Memory Care Directors in 1.5 years. Things were quite bad - bad enough that the families created a Family Council to surface issues and hold the leadership accountable. The Corporate office has been MIA and unresponsive although the prior sr. leader was replaced recently. The new leader has a lot of energy, enthusiasm, great ideas and passion and has already made significant improvements in staffing, compensation for staff, living conditions and resident care. We hope this will continue. I highly urge Memory Care families to attend the Family Council meetings (first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm) and to install cameras in their loved ones room.

My grandmother has been living at the Sheridan for the past two months. It is the third ALF she's lived in over the past six years (the other two were on the other coast). It's been a great experience so far. The level of care has surpassed our expectations. Their integrations with medical providers has made managing my grandmother's substantial medical needs much easier. Cindee made sure the move in was by far the smoothest we've had yet, and Doug, Jonny and the entire Maintenance team have gone above and beyond to help make grandma's studio apartment feel like a home. All of these places look great until you move in, but from the Sheridan is the first place that grandma has lived in that has really delivered on their promises.

Doug head of maintenance and building has become like family to our elderly family member. He has been so compassionate and caring and always puts the resident first ensuring their room is maintained at all times. He is so courteous, kind and friendly to all residents as well as informative. He has become like part of our family through this entire journey.

My mom was at The Sheridan at Lakewood Ranch for about 1 1/2 years until she passed away last month. The nursing care she received was very good. The Health and Wellness Director was very good as well, kind and caring and available all the time. The activities were amazing - lots of different types and very friendly people. My mom felt at home here and her family rested easy knowing she was being taken care of.

My mother in law moved to The Sheridan a few months ago. The entire staff has been friendly and has gone above and beyond what we expected to help her acclimate to her new community. She is extremely happy here and we have peace of mind knowing she is well cared for.

My mother in law lived at the Sheridan at Lakewood Ranch. It was a very hard transition for her leaving her home and the staff opened their arms & hearts to welcome her. In the 9 months she lived there her health drastically declined and we just lost her last week. The nursing staff was there every step on the way including collaborating with Hospice until her passing.The food was great, the care she received was wonderful, the activities and outings were plentifulSpecial thanks to James, Director of Nursing ServicesYou went above and beyond for our dear Gert. Just an amazing positive experience with caregivers and management....my husband hasbeen there a little over 3 weeks....am so relieved to have found this place...Now, is it perfect? No.....but my husband is getting the best of care....Thank you Sheridan..

When I moved my mother into the Sheridan a year and a half ago, the place was wonderful. She has made friends and enjoys many of the daily activities. Most of the staff there are great. However, the quality of the food has deteriorated considerably. They need to improve the meals that they serve to the residents. Ive eaten there several times and have been duly unimpressed with the offerings.

Cannot say enough about The Sheridan at Lakewood Ranch! My parents moved there last December and everyone and everything has exceeded expectations. Great staff, beautiful apartment, food is outstanding, and the care they give the residents is amazing. They are doing everything they can to keep my mom and dad safe during this pandemic. We were thrilled to have a window visit with them today. Thanks to everyone there and especially Timeka who is our angel on earth.

My dad has been at the Sheridan for over two years and he is so happy calling this place home. The staff has been wonderful, especially during the COVID shutdown. I would highly recommend this place for anyones parent. Their professionalism and high quality of care is exceptional!

I am so thankful for the Sheridan and the awesome staff in Memory Care!!! They care for my dad like he is their own father...Especially during Covid-19! I cant say enough about good things them! Courtney, the memory Care Director is on it! She responds quickly and know each of the residents personally! When my dad first entered memory care, she helped me transition him....and she helped me through the emotional part too. Heather is in charge of activities and has such a wonderful way with the residents. She has been FaceTiming twice a week so I can see my dad! She has a wonderful disposition and you can tell she cares. Everyone from the nursing staff to the Med Techs and even maintenance is so helpful and caring. Regina, Ashley, Cornelius, Malcom, Tashauna, Karen, Vanyola, Jasmine, Daphne, Shanette, Brittany, and Lindsey, and Robert in maintenance! I dont want to miss anyone. Thank you staff for caring and working so hard! Your jobs arent easy. Thank you for being on the front line every day! My family and I appreciate you and we would recommend The Sheridan of Lakewood Ranch!

Moving your father to memory care is hard, it took a long time for me to be okay with saying my Dad has dementia. The team at The Sheridan made it easier. They have great programs, caring staff, and a support system for families.

Mom has been living here since shortly after they opened a little more than a year ago. A very nice ALF off LWR just north of 70. Mom likes it. Plenty of activities daily, a variety of menu items and 24 hr nursing.

My parents live here, and it was a very difficult decision to move them to an assisted living facility. It has taken them some time to adjust, but they really like the Sheridan and feel like it is home. The staff could not be kinder, they are wonderful. I feel really good about our decision.

Excellent facility with a loving, caring staff. After an extended hospital and rehab stay, my mother arrived in a weakened physical state but due to great care and pleasant environment, she is thriving. Good food, many activities to keep seniors active, and a well-executed care plan.
