American House Bonita Springs Senior Living – Reviews
Working with Julia at American House in Bonita Springs has been such a pleasure. She was able to get the assistance the new resident needed and went above and beyond to ensure he didn’t have to go to transitional housing while getting his finances in order. I highly recommend this community!!
Julie, was awesome, spent 2;hrs with us,. Very informative, and comforting to my friend who may be moving in.
New Chef Steven is an incredible cook. My Parents are very happy here with their new room and the food. I highly recommend American House Bonita Springs if your parents are ready.
I love this place! Everyone, and I mean everyone, does their job to the fullest! American House is a kind and caring community. When I bring my husband to stay for respite care, I usually have a mental checklist of concerns that need to be addressed. For example, physical therapy scheduling, medicines, billing questions and fun activities that my husband can participate in. All of these requests are taken care of in a timely manner. As I walk through the corridors I am careful to note how the staff is addressing the patients. They know everyone by name, and are thoroughly familiar with their limitations and needs. The patients are treated with respect. American House does not have the glitzy chandelier and the three story high atrium to welcome you. What it does have is a staff that greets you with a warm smile! I am eternally grateful that I have found them.
My mom is being cared for in the memory care unit at American House. I moved her there from another memory care facility in Naples which no longer provided her with adequate care. I visited a number of memory care facilities. I am so happy that I chose American House. The switch over to American House is like the change between night and day. Rory the Community Relations Director answered all my questions when I first visited American House and then helped facilitate her move. Tisha the Director of Wellness made sure that my mom's medical needs were in place upon her arrival. Her co-worker Jeff in the memory care unit promptly answers my questions about mom's medications and care. The facility is clean and the staff that works with her on a daily basis are extremely caring. My mom enjoys the meals that are served and her appetite has increased since she entered American House. Bethany the Activities Director for memory care provides stimulating daily activities and also arranges for outside entertainment to be brought into the facility for the patient's enjoyment. Shelby the Executive Director expertly coordinates the staff to ensure an organized and smoothly-run facility. Mom is receiving excellent care from all the staff. If you are considering a move for your loved one I highly recommend American House.
My Mom is a charter community member of American House, Bonita Springs. From the day she arrived, she was warmly welcomed and embraced by the staff and residents alike. The Director, Eugene, and ALL the people who help her each and every day are so well trained to cope with the issues that come with the aging process. I am so thankful for American House as a company, and specifically for everyone who interacts with her every day in Bonita Springs. I could not recommend them more highly!
To whom this may concern, write this with the best intentions first and foremost. My mother has lived at American House for some time now and she is very happy. Over the last several weeks our country and the place we call home has changed dramatically. With that said, moms home is not here with me and my family. As much as I would love to have her here with us we are not able to care for her like the folks at American House. American House is what I consider my mothers home. I have noticed as things arise, American House has done a great job filtering folks in and out of the community and making sure only those who visit are only for emergency reasons. I get that completely and respect this decision, however, I have continued to notice that the staff that most of us would consider non-essential are still being asked to come into my mothers home. Those positions which do not prove direct care or a direct service to the residents. Government officials have asked that we only have those who are essential to provide service to the seniors. I think there are employees still continuing to come to work who I myself, and others have mentioned are non-essential. Here are a few examples of those positions, business office, this position is something that can be remotely done, sales, this positions as well can be done at the confinements of the individuals home, we understand that sales is what drives business in the senior living facilities BUT they can work from home considering that there are no tours and most information about the facility can be found online; maintenance or multiple maintenance employees. This position I think it essential BUT for emergencies reasons ONLY. I believe these are just an example of some roles that I feel American House should consider those working remotely from home. I understand that this time is trying for everyone but I have to sit back and think, is American House restricting everyone that is non essential into my mother home, NO they are continuing to bring in employees who can work remotely and limited people, visitors from coming into the building. If I cant visit my mother because I cannot provide her care these individuals shouldnt be permitted in the facility either. I write this with a grateful heart and I would have my mother no where else, we are very happy with American House, I just think there are improvements that can be made to help keep my mother safe. I ask that American House truly think of what is best for its residents which I know they do consider but from an outsiders perspective I think this needs to be addressed. If we cant visit our loved ones because we cant supply them care then we need to also limit employees whos positions are not directly care related and lesson the risk for my mother and all other residents.
Knowing that the staff at American House Bonita Springs deeply cares for my Mom, while we are so far away, is a great blessing and comfort to our family. From the very first day of opening, they have warmly welcomed her, and we have the utmost confidence in them. Thank you, one and all, at American House.
My father just moved in and so far we late very happy
My Mom has been at American House in Bonita Springs since they opened. Her apartment is beautiful and includes a screened in porch. The staff is super friendly and goes the extra mile to care for my Mom. Each day of the week there are a variety of activities to help keep the residents engaged in life and with each other. I cannot recommend this facility more!
Two members of my family have lived at American House since it opened, and they are both delighted - and if they are happy, Im happy! The facility is beautiful and the staff is friendly and supportive. We feel very lucky that it suits our familys needs so well.
