My "Second Mom" is here. WOW. This place is perfect! Food, staff, rooms... I mean... My husband is in nursing home in another state, but did we live in CT.. he would be here. Not a doubt. I love it! And.. I have seen alot dealing with his stroke of 33 years! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The staff and premises are wonderful. My mother stayed at the Village in respite care so her family could see her at Christmas. The food was a cut above her AL in FL. One thing that stood out was that I had asked that all my Mother's clothing be available (and not in the laundry) on the day we had to pack her up to go back to FL. Not only was all of it clean but packed! I never expected that. I recommend the Village highly. Mom had a great holiday with family! I am glad I picked the Village for her care while on holiday. Thank you!

I visited about 10 different senior communities before deciding on Village at South Farms for my aunt. My first impression was that the place was spacious, clean, and bright. Another big selling point was the flexible dining schedules; in too many other places you had a narrow window to dine and limited choices of what to eat. But the most important element was the staff—they really care and treat the residents with respect. It also speaks well of the company that many of the staff have been there for years. Things havent always been perfect, but when theres an issue they are quick to address it. And during the pandemic they have been straight-forward and transparent, promptly notifying me and addressing anything that might put my aunt at risk. It was difficult for my aunt to give up her own place and move here but she came to really love the place. And equally important to me was that South Farms was a place I could trust she would be cared for.

November 9, 2020 To Anyone Considering Assisted Living for a Loved One, If youre contemplating an Assisted Living Community for a loved one, you should strongly consider contacting the folks at The Village at South Farms (VSF) in Middletown, CT. They were very reassuring and supportive during this uncertain time looking for a place for my father after my mother has just passed. They were very empathetic and helpful without being pushy. They were overly protective with COVID-19 protocols. The process involved a relocation for my father which made for an even more difficult decision. The folks at VSF offered pre-visits before making any commitment to integrate my father into the community to insure he felt comfortable. Now that hes finally made the move, I cant begin to tell you how happy he is along with how happy I am. The entire VSF staff in all departments is wonderful, friendly, and caring. They check on him multiple times throughout the day to make sure hes comfortable and happy. The residents are very welcoming and friendly, and hes developed new friends in his short time there. Lastly, the community is beautiful and offers a warm, homelike feel. VSF is A Benchmark Senior Living Community allowing for a national scope of expertise and experience making it a better place to live.

I have had my Dad there for over 2 years and he loves it there. He is very happy for the games he gets to play and the other entertainment. Placed my Uncle there in February and he was comfortable there until his recent passing. All staff always pleasant and very helpful. Very thankful for the staff members you constantly have to fix my dads TV!!

Both of my parents were at the Village at South Farms until they passed. My Dad arrived first and was there for a year. Mom was there for the last few months of her life. Both needed more care then we could manage at home and were in the memory care wings. The Village was a blessing. The staff were extremely kind and cared for them with respect and dignity. It was much easier to sleep at night knowing they were safe. If they had stayed home they would not have have had the active full lives that they had at the Village. Art class, music, faith, new friends and good care was available to them every day. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs memory care for their loved ones.

One of my greatest treasures in my life and within the life of my family is the gift of our mother, Doris. As a mother of 10 children, 21 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren (and counting), it was very imporant to find an extraordinary place for her to dwell after her home of almost fifty years was no longer a safe place for her to live by herself. After an exhaustive search by family members, we were very fortunate to discover The Village at South Farms in Middletown, CT. Doris, her family and I are elated that The Village has become her new home. We have come to discover the superior standard of care and consistency of attention experienced daily from the administration, nursing staff, personal care assistants, house keepers, recreational personal, the kitchen staff, the outside support staff of therapists and her friends is second to none. The communication and genuine concern between the Village community and our entire family has been excellent and very much appreciated. The Village at South Farms has been good. It's such a difficult transition to get a loved one into this situation. There are still some kinks that need to be ironed out, but like anything else we visit, we know the staff. It's a lovely environment, clean and friendly! That's extremely important. They do have lots of activities for their clients ~ getting them to do it is another thing! (lol) My only observation is I wish the food was prepared right on campus. It's ok ~ There'd plenty of variety. My Dad doesn't complain, just my observation! I'm relieved and happy and know I don't have to worry about DAD!

The Village at South Farms has been the answer to our prayers for Mom and Dad. They have a lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment with a patio and a great view of the valley. The staff is very responsive and attentive to requests and take great pride in following Mom and Dad's care plan. I feel very comfortable when I leave Mom and Dad after a visit that they will be looked after with compassion and competency. The quality of care they receive at The Village at South Farms is a great value and just what we wanted for this twilight stage of their lives.

When shopping for an assisted living facility for mom, The Village at South Farms stood out from the rest, and during her 5 years there, it hasnt disappointed. Specifically, I like the way the staff stays in close contact with relevant family members.. Im routinely notified of everything that's going on with her, and if I have questions beyond that, there's always someone who will talk to me and offer answers. Their various care levels seem to handle most contingencies, and I can relax, knowing that what needs to be done will be done. In addition to the basics, there are a load of activities offered, and the food and meal prep are first rate.. Im jealous of how well shes fed! The place is clean, and the staff attentive. Im glad I found it!

This is the nicest senior living facility that I have seen, from Illinois to Minnesota to Connecticut. The facilities are very nice, the staff appears to be very competent and caring. The Village is well maintained, the meals are very nice, the extra programs are wonderful. This is just a wonderful place and should I ever require a senior facility I only hope that I can find one as nice as this one.
