The staff was very friendly,loving and caring to my mom up until the day she passed. They made sure she was comfortable and always encouraged her to participate in the events that New Day Cottages put on for the tenants. She was loved by the staff. They really miss her joking around. Thanks again for caring for her.

This small assisted living home truly feels like going home to family. I started my caregiving career at NDC and went on to nursing school while still working night shifts. I worked there for almost 4 years until life took me to a different state. I am so thankful for the relationships that were built with staff, residents, and residents families that I met in my time there. Steve is an accommodating and attentive owner, boss. Amanda is a caring and passionate house manager. The staff try hard to help maintain the home, and it was overall an enjoyable experience that I will always cherish.To future staff, I hope you can be the smile to brighten our residents day.

My brother has been at New Day since August 2017. Even though he is not your typical senior (he is also a special needs individual) he was accepted and now has a new family at New Day. The staff Is great, the food is home cooked, even accommodating resident likes & dislikes, and the staff as well as the residents are friendly & welcoming. The facility feels very much like home and with only 12 residents they all get the attention they need. I highly recommend New Day for anybody looking for high quality care in a small, close knit community. Debbie Fobair

My mother has been living at New Day Cottages Assisted Living since May 2017. We feel this was the best move we could have made for her. New Day Cottages is a small Assisted Living Facility, never more that 16 residents. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Mother has a balance issue and falls easily. Someone is with her within a minute after a fall. That makes us feel that she is in good hands and well cared for. We have looked at several facilities, but we liked New Day Cottages best of all. Also it is a small facility and has more like a family atmosphere. She makes a very content impression, as we have not seen her in a long time. It also makes us feel more relaxed, since we know she is in a good place.

Exceptional in every way..my mom has been in many rehab..National Brand Assisted Living places etc..even in my home for a few years but nothing compares to New Day Cottages.. The residents are up and about.. The staff is caring..The home is absolutely beautiful.. The meals are cooked fresh daily...the activity calendar is excellent..the room is great with her own private bath and cable etc..her neighbors, house residents are nice.. So happy a we found New Day Cottages..

Our Mom has been at New Day Pine Creek for over three years. She came from a skilled nursing facility and Steve and the staff accommodated her added care needs as she regained her strength. She is nearing 102 years old and has been very well cared for at New Day. With only 16 residents the facility is open, bright and has the feel of home. It is ideal for meeting the needs of anyone requiring a little more than that offered in a large complex. The staff is knowledgeable and caring. Steve, the administrator makes every effort to enhance the family atmosphere by having picnics (with family members invited), birthday celebrations, outings and daily programs. Finally, Steve and the staff are very accessible and willing to listen and make changes to improve New Day. We could not imagine having Mom in a different place. We were very fortunate to have found New Day.

My mother had lived in 5 different Assisted Living, and nothing can even compare to New Day Cottages. The staff there is very loving, caring and attentive. They always made sure our mom had water, her medicine, clean room and food (good home cooking). New Day Cottages makes you feel like you are home. If you want your loved one to feel like they are part of a family, their facility is just that. Everyone eats together at a table. There is a family living room and everybody has a bedroom and bathroom. The place is amazing! When you walk in, the atmosphere is wonderful, clean, smells nice and you dont feel like you are in an Assisted Living. We feel so fortunate and my mom did too that she had the privilege to get a room. My mom went to her heavenly home yesterday. Everyone was so loving to her, the staff, and other residents came to her side loving her in her last days, and hospice. The saddest part is we will miss our mom, but we also lost our family at New Day Cottages.

My dad has been at New Day Cottages since March 2017 and it has been the answer to our prayers. At 97 years old he was still living independently until a fall and fractured hip required a higher level of care. Although we werent looking forward to my dad being in an assisted living facility, New Day Cottages truly feels like he is in his own comfortable home.The health care workers are AMAZING! They all take a personal interest in the residents and make sure they are safe, comfortable, and included. They are all long-term employees who seem to truly enjoy what they do. My dad is full of compliments for them! And his doctor has been very pleased with how well my dad is doing at New Day; they manage his medications, weight, blood pressure, pulse, and water consumption.The home is beautiful, clean, and roomy. Every resident has his, her own room with a large shared dining room, kitchen, living room, sitting room, front porch, and back yard gazebo. New Day does all of the cleaning, cooking, and laundry. Basic assistance is included and additional services are available as needed. Steve, the owner, is wonderful about assessing what my dad needs and stays in close contact about his progress.We have found the perfect place for my dad! We are truly grateful for how well New Day takes care of him!

We thank God for His leading to New Day Cottages My mom has resided at NDC Pine Creek since Aug 2014. She is content & happy. She really enjoys the home like feeling, the activities, the events and having the staff and residents close by to talk with. I am very secure with the care and sensitivity of the staff. They really get to know the residents. The slightest change in health, personality or activity level is noticed, and I am called immediately. Even the owner knows mom and each resident personally and is very aware of their needs and care. I feel sure mom is in the right place at this point in her life.

Making the decision of moving a parent into an assisted living facility is not an easy one, nor one to be taken lightly. After touring other facilities and just not feeling comfortable, I called a friend who introduced me to New Day Cottages. My dad and I took a tour and immediately I knew that we had found the right place for him. The feeling of peacefulness was evident from the first time through the door.Dad has been a resident since May 2017 and has been enjoying great meals, the kindness of the staff members, fun activities, attentive care, and the comfort of a very beautiful, clean home. With the smaller number of residents, the staff is able to know each of them on a more personable level. My dad is becoming more social than he has been in a very long time. Finding New Day Cottages for my dad has been an answer to my prayers and Im very thankful for all of the wonderful, compassionate people of New Day who are serving our elderly family members. Thank you!

When my 93-year old mother needed to move into assisted care, we started looking for facilities in Colorado Springs area. Many of the larger facilities were impersonal and had questionable supervision of the residents. We then looked at New Day Cottages and were extremely impressed. They have more of a home atmosphere and the residents were very closely supervised. Working with the owner Steve and supervisor Joy at the Pine Creek facility proved to be a very positive experience. It was obvious they both cared greatly for their charges and helped us each step of the way to get my mother settled. She unfortunately deteriorated quickly, needing hospice care. Again, Steve and Joy both helped in the process making sure my mother was well cared for her last few days. I strongly recommend pursuing New Day Cottages if assisted care is needed, as they are a cut above the rest!
