Reviews Westmont Village

We moved our mother to Westmont, I cannot in good conscience recommend Westmont in Riverside, if you move your parent here you and them will be greatly disappointed. The food taste good once you get it, the dining room experience is very frustrating, management and corporate have been contacted multiple times with no changes happening. The Handicap doors do not work causing residents' undue stress.

We toured Westmont Village with a very independent and reluctant 93 year old mom who still lives in her own home. Dominique was kind, empathetic and spoke directly to mom. She spent two hours with us, making sure to answer all of mom's questions and help her feel comfortable. By the time we left, mom's attitude toward Westmont and more importantly, Assisted Living, was 180 degrees different. We also witnessed staff kindly interacting with residents and spoke to residents themselves who highly recommended this facility. We could not have had a better person than Dominique to wonderful facility.

Moving your loved ones is hard and they made it an easier decision than I thought. Very informative and cared about my concerns. I know dad will enjoy it, he's showing interest and I'm glad it should go smoothly.

I was looking for an assisted-living placement for my father and I came across Westmont Village. I was greeted by Domonique Simmons who went over and beyond her job duties to ensure that I was comfortable with my father's placement. I demonstrated a lot of anxiety during the first week of my father's placement ant Westmont Village Domonique was the one that helped me calm down and allow them to do their job! Thank you, Dominic and Westmont Village for providing my father with great care! If you're looking for an assisted-living place a highly recommend Westmont Village .Thank you, Dominic and Westmont Village for providing my father with great care! As many of you know, trying to find an assisted living facility for your parents can be daunting. Our experience with Dominique Simmons at Westmont Village in Riverside has been anything but daunting. From the initial meeting, touring apartment options, touring the entire facility, to our endless questions, Dominique has gone above and beyond for us. Our confidence in her will absolutely make the transition from our parent's home to Westmont a much easier process. I can't express how wonderful, kind, and empathetic Dominique has been. I highly recommend Dominique and Westmont.

Initially I was impressed by Westmont when I moved my mom there in Assisted Living 2 weeks ago. Since then my expectations of basic safety in medical practice and the quality of service have not been met. I have dined with her in the dining facility and orders placed take well over an hour to arrive. The food is often cold, badly seasoned, and not what was ordered. "Housekeeping' services seem to be non-existant. Worst is that they cannot get the medications which are administered straight, despite multiple emails, lists, calls with doctors. My mother is cognizant and knew that they were giving her the wrong pills and refused to take them. This is a clear safety violation and could cost Westmont it's license, which it should. Unforgiveable.

Westmont is a beautiful building. Everytime I visit, I am greeted warmly by Angel. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I definitely would trust Westmont Village with my loved one.
May 2024
Dominique was so helpful - going above and beyond to answer all of our questions. Her own grandpa lives here so she knew all the questions we would have - because she's had them too. She helped my husband and I and his parents to realize that the best time for a move is NOW - when we are organized and in control. We don't want to wait until a health crisis hits and forces a change. The food is great the grounds are beautiful and the staff are so friendly.

I love living here. I don't like the rent being raised twice a year. I moved in here because I knew I needed some kind of assisted living. Also I needed it a place where I could stay as I got older. I heve been here now for one year and am just getting adjusted too some of the activities here. I anticipate taking part in more. I have had a few episodes of high blood pressure in the hospital. Moving in I would have liked to have a little more explanations of how things work here. Finding oout from other residents gets very confusing sometimes. I will attend resident meetings more in the future. I am looking forward to me life here at Westmont if I can afford it.

As a multi-year resident of Air Force Village West (AFVW), then Altavita Village, and finally nearly 5 years after being acquired by Westmont Village/Riverside Homes, the quality of services showed a definite decrease since WM assumed ownership. Attempts to improve have been slow in coming or limited. I invite you to observe that the overall rating of this WMV facility is heavily swayed by the generally 5-stars ratings prior to their taking over. While the beauty of the acreage, the outgoing friendlness of the residents, and the friendly but under-staffed employees here, this has demonstratively become a finacially bottom line oriented facility. It also appears as if all major (and most minor) decisions are tightly controlled by senior management located 100 miles away in La Jolla. Never the less, I am reasonably happy and will likely be here for the rest of my life. Also, I cannot comment on conditions at other such facilities with exception that few, if any, enjoy offering a campus on 260 acres of space, availability of large square footage cottages, indoor pool, a Village Hall, and so on.

Westmont Village Homes, is nestled in Arnold Heights in an unincorporated area of Riverside. There has been quite a few industrial warehouses that have moved to the area affecting traffic! This gated community adorns, beautifal vegetation, trees, wildlife., Westmont has changed ammenties to their contract adding more financial responsibility to the lessee you can no longer access private internet carriers due to an ill-fated decision to remove internet providers and substituted service with a below marginal provider, The village is now ran by Riverside Homes, adding money making changes to their bottom dollar.

Me and my brother have visited this place and other places as our father has gotten harder and harder for us to care for. We visited three other places and without a doubt we found Westmont Village to be the most friendliest and cleanest place between them. We weren't ready to have him put in any place but remembered the kind and compassionate words of Domonique Simmons who showed us four different apartments on two occasions. After much discussions and with heavy hearts we choose Westmont Village to take care of our father. We went and met with Mrs. Simmons again and she showed us three possibilities and along with my father we made our decision. We moved him in that next weekend (thanks to the exceptional efficiency of their staff) and we were still skeptical to leave him. The staff surprised us and made sure he was safe and checked on him repeatedly. To our pleasant surprise he thrived! He has been there for less than two months and he loves it and is once again enjoying life! We didn't think that was possible after my mother's passing two years ago, but it's amazing to see. If you have a loved one you can not take care of this is the place to take them with exceptional care, services and cleanliness! We visit him every weekend can now rest easy knowing he is going to be in good hands when we can't be there.

Mom mother lives here. Management has proven to play games with the contract, putting half a sentence in the main contract (about the utilities) and the other half in the addendum (most people won't catch that) and tried to screw her out of $100. I had to really fight to get it back. (They want you to turn on the utilities on THE DAY YOUR CONTRACT STARTS - even if it's not the day you move in, and even if you need the water and electricity to clean your old place. There's no room for overlap. They charge you $50 per utility, on top of the actual utility bill, if you don't.) Her oven leaks gas/heat out of the back burner, to the point where her frying pan (stored on the stove) began to smoke. After a "repair man" was sent out, she was told this is "normal." Now I'm fighting to get it replaced. Finally, they have a referral plan. If you refer someone, and they move in, you get a $3,000 kick back. I was there when they told her and there's a big sign in the office. Mom did refer someone, and they did move in, but management is giving mom the run-around, trying not to pay her. There are some good things about this place, but I'd be careful not to let your loved ones deal with "management" without supervision, lest they try to screw them over the way they keep trying to screw my mother over. Update, we finally did get the money she was promised, and her stove was finally replaced (after they left it in the middle of her kitchen for a week till someone came and shaved the counters to make it fit, leaving a blanket of dust on everything). Again, after many emails and follow-up/fighting for it on my part. She also got her rent raised $126/mo. and a landscaping bill for $75/mo. attached to her rent. I understand they are working towards attaching the outside watering and landscaping to the tenant costs, which means a higher water bill. I do hope their new landscapers will actually fertilize, weed, trim, clean up after mowing, and maintain the roses since she is being billed for it. Like I said, the place isn't all bad. We do enjoy some of the music performances and games. The staff and medical office are friendly and helpful. The wifi absolutely sucks, as mentioned in a number of reviews. The TV reception is likewise frustratingly spotty. The food is pretty much the low sodium, not spicy, try to please everyone variety. The apartments are a good size, and mom's place has plenty of storage, while the grass and rosebushes die in the front yard.

This review is about Westmont Village's dining hall. I regularly visit my relatives who reside in the Village. My visits over the past few years have included going to dinners in the dining hall. This week's dinner experience was typical. We sat down at 4:30. After 20 minutes without wait staff help I walked around and found a pitcher of water on a service station. Took it back to the table and served water to our group. At 5:30 wait staff finally came to our table to take our order. Our orders started coming out at 6:00. Our dinners were all room temperature. My cod with vegetables, the beef stew, rice pilaf, etc. Nothing, except the soups, was warm. From what I understand and have seen, the kitchen staff and chefs do not stay long, and there is a constant shortage of wait staff. Residents should not have to wait 1 and 1/2 hours for room temperature meals.

Staff were all so welcoming and friendly. Residents seemed happy during my visit!

My mom went from needing some assistance to being unable to properly care for herself in a matter of weeks. Finding her a memory care facility was no easy task. We toured at least seven different facilities before deciding on Westmont Village. We first met Domonique. She was the face of the facility and we were immediately drawn in by her warm and charming personality, as well as her extreme ability to understand the needs For my mother and represent Westmont so eloquently. Once we made the commitment to moving forward with placing her there, we were not short on people helping us navigate the transition there. And because she now required placement in memory care, we were again fortunate to meet Jazzmyne and the amazing staff who work with those residents. Now that my mother has been there for a week, we are certain, without a doubt, that this is going to be an amazing experience for my mother. We also have been able to take a breath and relax, knowing she's in good hands.

I have had a wonderful experience with the folks at Westmont Village Homes. The leasing director and property management staff have been wonderful and so helpful and went above and beyond in making my sister and I feel welcome in our new home. They are most appreciated.

Hidden Gem!
October 2023
My husband and I moved into a cottage at Westmont Village Independent Living, in June 2021. The cottage was remodelled and in great condition, with new appliances and new flooring. Actually, we are very pleased with the peaceful surroundings, security and privacy that this place offers us and we are quite happy with our decision in moving here. There is Assisted Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing facilities also available here. There are different social activities offered to the residents. For more active residents, this village provides trails for walking, outdoor exercise equipment and more. We strongly recommend this place for anyone looking for peaceful and fun living and you should definitely pay a visit to discover yourself. NEW DEVELOPMENT IN August 2023: Even though we really liked living in the peaceful and calm environment at Westmont Village, we had to move close to our son, in order to fulfill his request, but with the idea of moving back, if it becomes a choice in the near future. Life is a mystery and nobody knows what is in store for us, as the next event!

My mother moved into independent living houses approximately 3 years ago with a lease for $3250 which included 1 meal a day, house cleaning services, transportation, and landscaping. At first it was a very nice place. the staff were kind and attentive. However, over the last 3 years, and since being taken over by a new company, she had to hire her own cleaning service, pay an outside company to do landscaping due to overgrowth in the back area and next to her patio area, and the food has significantly changed for the worse. (All of these things that she is already paying for as part of her rent.) In addition, the rent was increased 6% last year, and 8% this year. She is on a fixed budget! I want her to move, but she has friends who live in the community as well and so does not want to leave them. I plan to write the Consumer Protection Services regarding the uncontrolled rent situation in a 55+ community.
August 2023
My brother and I were looking for an assisted living facility for our Mom. She needs assistance with most of her daily living activities; bathing, dressing, medications, etc. We toured several facilities in our area including Westmont Village. We both agreed on Westmont Village because the facilities are beautiful, they have great amenities, it's peaceful, the entire staff is professional and courteous, and they provide the level of daily care our Mom requires. We moved our Mom into Westmont Village last month. She likes her studio apartment, and she's happy with her caregivers and the care she is receiving everyday. Additionally, the staff keeps me updated on a regular basis regarding her care, medications and any other health issues that need to be addressed, which I totally appreciate! Overall I would recommend Westmont Village to other family & friends. I would live there if I could too!
June 2023
Westmont Village has been a pleasure to work alongside the last few years. Staff are welcoming and professional. I'd highly recommend this community.
June 2023
I have concerns about ownership of the village. They are making what I call knee jerk decisions to save money and it ends up costing them in the long run. They have spent thousands of dollars changing the internet provider here just to save a hundreds and it still buffers and is not working for all the residents. Now they are tearing out the yards and putting in rock on all 4 sides of the houses. This is to reduce water usage and landscaping costs no doubt. I understand the need to reduce water usage but again ownership in doing overkill that will coct them more in the long run. Owning a pet means you want some type of yard where you live with grass. If I had only a choise of rock around a house when I move in here I would not have moved in. I expect potential residents will voice similar comments when shown the houses with rocks. Reworking the front yards and allowing the residents to have a back yard reduces the water usage, landscaping fees and gives pet owners something green to look at besides rock. I would like to stay here at Westmont but if ownership keeps wasting money on kneejerk decisions and keeps passing on higher fees as a result they may price us out. They need to make a profit, but they also need to be wiser with their spending.
June 2023
I can't comment on every aspect of staff and facilities. It's true that they will be as accommodating as they need to be until you sign the lease, than forget about getting any response from sales or administration. You have to go to their office and catch them off guard to be able to pin them down. When I was being shown the cottages , a neighbor came out yelling to the sales agent and warning me not to rent because of all the issues everyone was having. The only one that answers is the receptionist. I didn't even have to bring up the issues, as I would meet some of the neighbors and they would give me the whole history of problems they were having. The facilities were good, the maintenance people were responsive. Management was terrible. We only rented temporally, as we had sold our house and were waiting to move out of state. When we were shown the cottage that we ended up renting I mentioned that it smelled like urine. They told me it had yet to be cleaned. When we moved in it still had a slight odor, but not of urine. I bought a carpet shampoo machine and cleaned it. At our two week before move out inspection I told Mr Garcia that I was going to shampoo it again prior to our leaving...which I did (two days before we left) So I just got a letter at my new address stating that they were withholding $200 to clean carpets. I'm waiting on a return call to explain it to me. Someone will respond to my post saying that their sorry they didn't meet my expectations. B.S. They just want to show a profit, and really could care less. I wouldn't tell you not to rent here, it did serve it's purpose. I just didn't need all the aggravation this management company caused me and others. If you do decide to rent here , do yourself a favor and talk to the tenants. Especially on George Brown st. Ok, this revision is about two, three weeks after original review. Got an email this morning that refund for carpet shampoo was in process. This is a really nice place to live....if you don't need to deal with administrative heads. If they would be more concerned about tenants complaints.

We recently moved my brother to Westmont Village. Everyone was very nice and helpful. But I would like to mention a gentleman who has gone above and beyond his job description to help our family in this transition. His name is Charlie Luetto. He has been so very courteous and helpful. He's always ready to listen to your questions or concerns and then he helps you figure everything out. A big shout out to Charlie.
February 2023
We recently moved our parents into Westmont Village, and Charles Luetto was wonderful giving us tours and answering our questions since we began looking in the fall of 2022. We appreciated his quick responses in emails, texts, or calls to our many questions! Charles was easy going and made sure we got the most suitable apartment! Thank you Charles, and we hope to see you around the facility!

3 Months after move in we are still waiting on the 2nd cable box we requested. We have one in my bedridden mothers room but it seems like it's going to be basically impossible to get the 2nd one we were told wouldn't be a problem to get at first so that we could have tv in the main room in our house. Beyond frustrating at this point.

We moved my mom into their Compass Rose Memory Care Facility 6 weeks ago. Westmont Village and their employees have exceeded my expectations every step of the way so far. My mom has dementia and did not want to go at first. The staff was able to ease her mind and help her adjust to a new environment. Now she has a group of friends and looks forward to mingling with them every day. They have treated me and my family with kindness and professionalism every step of the way. They use a service called LifeLoop.app and everyone you want to add can see pictures what activities your loved one is doing each day. This is a great relief when you can't go visit in person.

Wanted to share that I had the best service experience . My air was not cold and the temperatures were rising. I put in a work order via email, they responded right away and Alejandro the maintenance man came the same day, looked at the unit, got tools and parts and had it fixed and blowing cold air in no time. He was kind, informative and professional. He is a huge asset to the community. Thank you Alejandro ..!!!

I wanted to thank the team from Westmont Village for the amazing experience I have had w them. Starting from the rental/sales office Janenne, and a major Thank you to Property Manager Noe, for being so patient with me! And I would like to say a special Thank You to the Maintenance Dept. Rick! And I can not forget to Thank the landscapers here for doing an excellent job keeping this place looking beautiful!! You are all doing your share of making this place be Home Thank You

Lorna and I have been struggling with Direct TV and Channel 3 setup for 2 months. Noe came, saw and conquered. Placing work orders at the Front Desk for Independent living does not work. Prepare a notice for Independents and hand out to them for requestint work orders through Noe via email.
November 2022
We moved into the independent living cottages in March 2022 and moved my parents in October 2022. The sales team was awesome. Janenne spent 2 full days showing us around and was able to answer all of our questions. Noe Garcia (property manager) along with the housekeeping, maintenance and landscaping teams went above and beyond preparing my parents home for move in. We love living in Westmont Village and highly recommend it to anyone looking for independent living with tons of activities and amenities.
July 2022
As many other recent Yelp reviewers have stated, Westmont Village has undergone an incredible downhill slide. My husband and I moved here a year and a half ago. It was a beautiful community. No longer is this the case. A tour of the property shows the first few streets are beautifully maintained but further back shows overgrowth and a general lack of care. I feel that services such as home repairs and landscaping are virtually non-existent (even though they are included in the rent we pay). Any response from management takes several emails and/or calls only to be ignored or pushed aside with total disrespect bordering on arrogance. We had to wait over a year to have our oven fixed. It has taken over 18 months to have a broken toilet replaced. The new toilet does not work properly and management will not respond to the issue. Further repairs that have not been addressed include an 18 month old outside water leak and damage to stucco. The property manager is well aware of all these issues and yet they still exist. Between problems stated above & the internet / television service catastrophe that other reviewers have outlined on Yelp, Westmont Village has become a very stressful place to live.
June 2022
We had a dear friend, a general who lived here years ago and always thought well of this community. To our great surprise we qualified and the essence of Westmont was attainable. Best thing we ever did was to check it out. Janenne went above and beyond for sure! Congratulations to Us. Janenne took care of us and literally improved our lives

My Dad lived in Westmont Village for a decade, beginning when the place was originally Air Force Village West. During his time there he enjoyed the helpful staff and in particular Mariacarmen Barriga. She works at the front desk and is always cheerful, helpful, and kind. When we visited she greeted us like family and was always happy to talk about Dad.

I don't work for Westmont Village but for ONR Rehab within the village. With that said, I have had the pleasure of working in therapy for a number of years at various locations, and I have to say, Westmont Village is like none other. The environment here created by the leadership team, staff, and the friendships/bonds that have been built between the residents in the community remind me of the camaraderie that I experienced while serving in the Army. It is incredibly wonderful to be able to see day in and day out when their team demonstrate care and compassion, and provide heartfelt services to the residents on a daily basis. I have sat through numerous meetings where they make it a point to hire for the "heart", and it truly shows. I do not feel like I have to go to work, instead, I actually look forward to it.

Maintenance is provided here and that department has been very responsive. The maintenance staff is very professional and they know what they're doing.

I recently attended a fundraiser "Walk to End Alzheimer's" hosted by Westmont Village. I was impressed with the caring attitude of the staff and professionalism shown when assisting resident senior walkers of the mixed age group. Along the walking route I was invited to tour an open house. I am impressed with the overall appearance of the Village Property and how well maintained it is.

We would like to wish you Seasons Greetings, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Kwanza. We also pray for a Healthy and Prosperous New Year. The Donna L. family would like to thank Keith, and the whole Admin staff, Josephine, Paisley, and Deserie. Keith who told us in the beginning that Westmont has 100% Walk rate. I must admit when our mom got to Westmont, she was in "Bad Shape". She was recommended for "Hospice Care" because it would be no cost to the family. But Mom wanted to fight to get better. When we brought Mom to Westmost Village, she could not use the left or right side of her body below the neck. It was equivalent to a double stroke. She needed assistance with everything from: going to the bathroom, sitting up in bed, getting dressed, taking a shower, and going to cafeteria. The Respite & Assisted Living Team did a great job!!! It was very bleak to the family, that Mom would ever be able to care for herself again. But Westmont said "We got her" and you guys did just that. You went to work on her to improve her ability to take care of herself and improve her quality of life. We would like to thank Josephine with Billing, it has been rough, but thanks to her team we are still here. My girl Paisley, who has helped us navigate through this from Day 1. Deserie who has been a great Nurse, and have kept us abreast of everything. We want to say a Special thanks to the OT & PT Rehab Team, Julio, Todd, and the rest of the group (sorry I do not know everyone's name). Man, what that team has done is nothing short of a Miracle. The kitchen and the rest of the staff that may have move on, thanks to everyone of you for feeding our mom. My mom's favorites Richard and Sherri for taking special care of her. All in all, we the family believe with all our hearts, if it was not for Westmont, our mother would have been in the Zombie state (like she was at the other facility) or worst. Once again "THANK YOU" The family of Donna L.

We chose to move here a few weeks ago. While the Covid-19 has closed many activities and facilities wed like access to, the benefit are immediate. We needed help with a few minor repairs like an issue with a bulb in a ceiling light. Within 24 hours, the repairs were done. The easy access to walking trails and a dog park was another welcomed benefit. Everything is neat, clean, and quiet. We should have done this several years ago!

If you enjoy an active lifestyle, meeting new people and making friends, I reccomend Westmont Village. They have various resident clubs, which you can join, and encourage residents to create clubs of their liking if it is not offered.

Nice place! You have to meet the staff and try the food, this place makes other establishments look like HAUNTED HOUSES, VILLAGES IN THE TROPICS!!! I Really mean this when I say you could DO ALOT WORSE. 5 STAR RATINGS ARE REALLY HARD FOR ME TO GIVE OUT AND I GIVE ALTAVIDA 5! P.S. they need to get remote speakers on TVs as it is really hard when you share a room and SUBTITLES DONT CUT IT, -1, 2 a STAR FOR THAT 4.5 stars until they fix it, being kind! CIAO.

We have been residents for the past 10 months. Altavita exceeds our expectations in all ways. We were told to expect to feel like we were on a cruise ship on land. Having just returned from a cruise, I can say the food is better here, as are the activities, the accommodations, and our great neighbors.

Originally just for military veterans, it is now open to everyone. Its a gated community that has 221 acres and 440 residential facilities. Residents have a choice between living in a house or in an apartment. We chose to have a house in Altavita Village. There are a number of thoughts that come to mind when one talks of moving to a retirement community. The first is usually the thought that Im not ready for that, yet. Having the ready thought in mind, when does one decide that they really are ready? In addition to being old enough and financially capable, one has to meet a health standard to move to our community because if provides continuing care -- it is a CCRC. That means that should you require special care, the CCRC part kicks in to a stage wherein your need to stay in our skilled nursing or our memory care facility is done at a discounted rate as compared to what the rest of the world is paying. Some follow-up on the activities and the camaraderie at the Altavita Village. While it is no longer for military only, the village continues to be the close-knit community that many of us experienced while in the Armed Forces. Everyone here looks out after each other. And there are plenty of activities; if you just want to sit in a rocking chair, go somewhere else. Many of you may be reluctant to leave your community and friends where you now live. That is a definite consideration. But do some thinking as to the benefits of an active retirement -- one that will predate you spending hours in a rocking chair . The Altavita Village CCRC offers many new friends with common interests.

My husband and I have visited, researched about a dozen CCRCs in SoCal and AZ and hope to move to one in the future. Altavita is our first choice because of the large, beautiful campus and large variety of Independent Living housing options. We were also impressed with the residents and the staff weve met. Very importantly, its Skilled Nursing Facility is highly rated and used by Kaiser for its members.

Working at Altavita Village Just passed the one month point of working with the great team of people at Altavita Village! I had spent more than 11 years working for an oncology lab where it had gotten to the point that I didnt look forward to going to work anymore. The people had lost the spark that made everyone want to kick in and be part of something bigger, it had become just a job. Here at Altavita Village I found that spark again. Everyone is so friendly and outgoing and that includes both the staff and residents! It gives me a good feeling going to work each day now knowing I am helping the rest of the staff who share my view to make a better life for all the residents here and they are all so nice and grateful for it. It feels more like a very large family and it makes me feel good inside when my day is over knowing I helped out as part of a team that cares.

Altavita Village is a superb community. The residents really make you feel like family and there are always so many fun things to do. I truly love this place!
September 2017
Altavita is a great vibraint retirement home for many residents from all over the country. A recent article in the Press Enterprise written by Mark Muckenfuss, was a perfect example of the media's attempt to sensationalize the news rather than take the time to discover and report all the facts. In this case, what is missing is the significant advances that managment/marketing have been making in bringing in new residents and improving the finacial situtation. The future looks bright.

Great place to work. Been working here for almost 8 years and doesn't feel like is been 8 years maybe because I been having so much fun.... my coworkers are great and of course, Residents are great sweet respectful and happy to be around.

I have been working with the team at Altavita Village for just over a year. I love the community and the commitment to the residents. Beautiful grounds.
September 2017
As a 6+ year resident, I still consider the decision to move into Altavita Village my best decision next to asking my wife to marry me. A large number of my fellow residents are among the most congenial, interesting and active individuals and couples ever.
September 2017
We visited 10 CCRCs in Southern California before deciding on Altavita. Moved in 2 months ago. It exceeds our expectations. We love our cottage home, the activities, fitness opportunities, food, and most of all the warm and welcoming residents and staff.

This is the best place on earth, not just Disneyland. Having a plan in place is always wise. Looking forward to a great future!!

Our 96-year young mother is a current resident of Altavita (ex- Air Force Village West), since 2013. She is very happy living there, and tells us often how nice it is, how much she enjoys the food, how responsive and cheerful the support staff is, and how much she enjoys the clean air and quiet surroundings.

I was really surprised at the care given me during my surgery rehabilitation stay. The staff was professional, attentive, and responsive to me. The physical therapy and support staff went out of their way to make my stay as pleasant as possible. I highly recommend Air Force Village West.

A word in passing, as a 10 year resident of AF Village West, a beautiful joyful place for residents, I am currently in the AF Village West Skilled Nursing Facility as a result of a falling injury. In retrospect, the most intelligent thing that I have ever done was to enter the program here that has been devised and improved upon by its inhabitants during its 26 years of existence. The camaraderie, joy and comfort that I have shared here provides a beautiful living experience - a proven fact that this extends and creates a joyful quality of life.
