I wanted a community for my Mommy at the age of 91 continue with activities and her mind stimulated with laughter and love Sunrise was the place Mommy turn 91 in the hospital and they came to visit her with a beautiful gift of her original Jet Magazine Cover ..at the age of 23 Constance Hatton at the time .. thank you Sunrise for making Mommy happy

Sunrise of Hermosa Beach can't be beat. Our Mom has been the rock of our family and still is at 98. We tried keeping her at her lovely townhouse of 50 years in Pasadena until she fell one night. We interviewed and reviewed countless facilities. We are so happy we found the beautiful, well maintained, immaculate (per our picky Mom, we agree) Sunrise of Hermosa Beach. Its wonderful atrium patio with a panoramic view of the Pacific and gardens is ideal for Mom who loves the outdoors. She grew up and was married in Santa Monica. Its quiet and peaceful with all the amenities and activities. Its staff is friendly and helpful. The residents are well taken care of and nice. Their nursing staff is always responsive. The reception folks have become friends. I love visiting Mom either on the patio or in her perfect suite. We highly recommend Sunrise of Hermosa Beach.

My mom was at this community for about two weeks at the end of her life. The building and grounds resembled a little beachside resort with nice touches like home baked cookies, popcorn and movie night. The room was very nice and allowed the family to gather in a calm and caring environment. Most of all, the level of service and compassion demonstrated by the staff at all levels was superlative. It helped make the best of a extremely challenging family crisis. Thank you.

This community has helped my brother become healthier and happier than he was prior to moving there. He has diminished memory and started in assisted living and then transferred to their memory care. All staff have been loving and care to him and responsive to our family. Management works hard and the food is surprisingly good. I highly recommend

Mom had to move to assisted living. The staff went above and beyond in their duties assisting her. Management was always helpful, activities abounded, mom's friends enjoyed visiting because there were things to do on site! Molly the dog is a sweetheart, the bird is cute, but they don't have a cat at the moment (otherwise they would get a 5)
