I used to work at this property. It is overpriced for the residents and underpaid for the staff. I cared for my elderly residents as a staff member. but couldnt get paid a living wage. I had to move on to another facility.

Ponte has been a wonderful place for my Mom. Her apartment is beautiful, the staff are always so caring and thoughtful, and the facilities are maintained very well. During this very challenging time, they have kept their residents safe and healthy, which is an amazing accomplishment! Very grateful for the leadership and staff at Ponte!

20-1 first time review-dining, but have visited residents homes in this approximately 10 year old, master planned, gated, rental, retirement community a handful of times over the past few years. -- The development lies 35 minutes east of Sacramento up Highway 50. -- Consistent, quality upkeep of establishment-grounds inside and out over the years. -- The house rental price (inc. attached garage) is mostly an all-inclusive living package: housing, exterior landscape, prepared meals (in dining hall or delivered), on-call emergency response staff at pull of a cord in house, well check drop by most-daily by staff, a large dining-clubhouse stocked with a variety of games-entertainment-pool, shuttle transport on property, planned daily group trips with transport off property. -- The houses are located on a steep tier above the common dining, recreation building. [Note: Only one star for being a walkable community given the grade level and distance to negotiate by elders with limited walking abilities] -- Shuttles give residents rides to-from housing-club house, plus rides on daily excursions off the property. -- The clubhouse only has single-sex restrooms. -- Yes, guests can dine with residents at clubhouse. . -- Food pictures uploaded are Menu Item described here, as GoogleMaps did not ask at time of posting: ++ Roasted asparagus salad ++ Tossed green salad ++ Steamed broccoli in lemon pepper butter ++ Herb stuffing with beef gravy ++ Spinach artichoke chicken -- Yes tableside service-staff -- Pitcher of water and coffee left at the table -- While the three course dinner portions look small, it is very adequate for an elders appetite whos receiving three square meals per day. -- While the food is bland, once again, it is appropriate for an elder. That being said, the menu changes daily. That nights meal choices are available upon walk-in to preview in prepared format. And, the chefs do a great job at food variety being offered, and the plate presentation delivered to the table.

We are so glad we found Ponte' Palmero. We have some wonderful, caring friends here. Shopping for groceries isn't necessary unless there is something special you need. The food is very good with a good variety of seasonal foods. If you don't feel well enough to come to the dining room for dinner, you may order your dinner over the phone and it will be delivered with a smile and no charge. Your duet or apartment is cleaned weekly and if something goes awry all you have to do is call maintenance for an emergency or the front office for a requisition.

My husband and I moved to Ponte Palmero Almost seven years. It was the best decision we ever made.We love the people, the staff, the wonderful duet we live in. Our home is bright ,spacious and designed. The food is Varied and well prepared by Chef and her staff. The dining room is fun to be in and the Chef tries very hard to meet special diet restrictions.

My mother looked at 6 different communities. Once she toured Ponte Palmero, she knew it would be an excellent choice. The community, people, and food were excellent. She joined a fun group of ladies for a Sunday Dinner. They made her feel so welcomed. We had toured communities where the dining room was silent. People ate quietly and did not interact. Ponte Palmero was different. People were laughing, talking, and enjoying dinner with wine. We were impressed with a menu that offered several different options. This was important because my mom was eating too much processed food with too much sodium, while living at home alone. Here she had the choice of salads, vegetables, homemade soups, and she loved the fish options they offer almost every night in addition to steak or chicken options. My mom loves her new home because it does not feel like a senior facility. It feels like staying in a nice condo on vacation. I am so happy my mom has new friends and is enjoying herself. Great place.

Just had a wonderful tour with Brenda last week. She was so genuine and really set the tone for Ponte. I felt like she really cared about my parents. She took the time to find out what was important to us. I went to area facilities and really feel like we will choose Ponte because of our first experience. Very thorough and knowledgeable. If you are considering this place, talk to Brenda and shell show you everything without trying to sell you.

My mother has dementia and has been living at Ponte Palmero's Memory Care center for about a year. My mother is very happy here; the facility is lovely, and the staff is WONDERFUL!! The caregivers are now part of our extended family, and are always available to help with all of my mother’s needs. Our family is very fortunate to have found such a fantastic new home for our mother!

We moved here over four years ago. I'm so glad we did. It's a great community to live. The staff really is wonderful and so helpful. If you need some help, they don't act like it is a chore to do something for you. My husband recently had a mild stroke and it is nice to know I have people willing to help us if we need it.

We looked at many places before settling on Ponte Palmero. We have been here just 2 months now and are very pleased with our decision to move here! The independent living units are outstanding with a double garage offering even more storage space. For the most part, the meals are excellent and the staff could not be any more helpful.

When my grandparents moved into Ponte, my grandfather was on the decline and needed more attention and care. Right from the start, the staff was more than amazing to my family. Communication, contact and care with us was clear and professional, which was a great calming force in a very uneasy time. When he passed, my grandma was all along for the first time in 50 years, but the community was ABSOULTELY AMAZING for her. She met new friends everyday and expanded herself socially, partaking in BINGO, Field Trips, and even dancing! I would spend time with her hitting the dance floor, she was happier than I had seen her in a long time, it was like a time-machine taking her back to her 20s. During her stay, the staff was kind and patient in a way that exceeded all expectation. As her memory began to fail her, they were there with her every step of the way, with a smile on their faces. Getting old is never an easy process, on the families and especially on the person, and having the best people for emotional and physical support is a MUST. That is exactly what Ponte has. They are devoted to helping everyone be comfortable and at ease with where life is and where life is going.

My mother lived at Ponte Palmero independent living for 5 years and left earlier this year to be closer to my brother. She loved the other residents as well as the staff at Ponte and made some wonderful friends she still visits whenever possible. She enjoyed the wine club and off site vineyard visits, and the evening meals were always the highlight of the day. The one bedroom suite she had was very spacious with a full kitchen and we even made the garage into a spare entertainment room since it was all on the ground floor. I would recommend Ponte Palmero to anyone looking to have a beautiful place to live and social interaction as well.

My brother in law has lived in the Lighthouse - the memory care facility at Ponte Palmero - now for six years. The rooms are spacious, food is good, and he has always received great care. I like that he is able to walk (with someone accompanying him) around the entire 10 acre project or even swim during the summer. The Lighthouse itself is a beautiful facility with wide aisles and two atriums within the facility. I would recommend the Ponte Palmero Lighthouse for any memory care needs for loved ones.

My 96yr old Father-in-law moved to Ponte Palmero 2 months ago. My wife and I and my Father-in-law are very happy with the decision to move to Ponte Palmero. The facilities are very nice and comfortable with an apartment feel not a hallway hospital room feel. The attendants have been very friendly, caring and there to help whenever needed. My father-in-law enjoys the food and the social encounters in the dining room with the other residents who are very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is positive and vibant. We are very pleased.

Our mom and dad moved into PP in August of this year. Their apartment is very nice, truly like a resort condo. All the facilities are well maintained. The staff has been very attentive and the meals served are excellent. This is an upscale retirement community that has embraced our parents and made them feel welcome. After living in the same house for 40+ years moving was a very traumatic life event, however, PP has helped them transition to their new home.

I moved my parents into the Ponte Palmero assisted living facility in March of 2016. I could not possibly be more pleased with the care my parents have received at Ponte Palmero. Every staff member I have met there -- and I have met dozens -- has been compassionate, highly skilled, gentle with my parents and attentive to their needs. I visited three other assisted living facilities in the Sacramento area before choosing Ponte Palmero for my parents. Ponte Palmero is superior to all of them, and it provides a much better ambiance and more services for a similar cost.

My mom and dad moved into Ponte Palmero 4 years ago. My dad had Congestive Heart Failure and had heavy care needs and made multiple trips to the hospital. The staff was always on top of his care needs and was awesome at educating me with what things I should look for in the hospital. My dad always got a visit from his "team" at Ponte when he had to head to the hospital. The trust and respect he felt for the staff helped alleviate his anxiety and ours. After my dad passed we needed to move my mom into memory care "The Lighthouse". What a lovely place! The transition was seamless and she settled in immediately because the staff took the time and care to make her feel at home. I felt so relieved to see her treated with such dignity that it made a difficult time much more bearable. I would highly recommend the Ponte family!

My father has been a resident for 7 months and it is so nice not to have to worry about his safety, cleanliness of his home, eating habits or lack of companionship. It is a difficult decision to move your parent(s) from the comfort of their own home to an unknown place. But I have to admit this was the best move for him and the facility really tries to accomondate all of his needs. The grounds are lovely and well maintained and the apartments are newer and very functional. This is now HOME for dad and will be until he decides it is time to be with Mom.

On St. Patricks Day I was there with members of my family to see our mom. One of the guys in the kitchen was dressed in a costume. He paid for it himself. The staff there always seemed upbeat and caring. One person spent time with Mom either reading the Bible for her or discussing religion with her on his break. As our visits were mostly spontaneous you can tell these actions were not jy st for show. Very clean environment and great staff!!

I have lived in one of the 3 BR-2BA duets since March 15 and my poodle and I I love it. My house is lovely, modern and comfortable. The food is good though I often cook for myself. Love the people who work and live here. So far I have joined the Bridge group and the Wine Club and met so many intelligent, fun women and men. My husband passed away almost two years ago but I can still drive and do all of the things I want to do. It is the best bargain around!
