Royal Oaks was very IMPRESSIVE when we toured here. First year was outstanding in all aspects; after Covid hit many of the services have declined, and I understand to a degree why. I often wonder if I am getting what I expected when I signed on...NO, I think some things have declined dramatically...sad! I try to understand!!!

There's gold in these foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains - senior-living gold! Royal Oaks has a stunning campus of 15+ acres with California Live Oak trees and horses grazing across the road! Beautiful facilities! Friendly and interesting people with whom we've become close in just a couple of years! Caring staff people who have also become friends! Royal Oaks is a neighborhood as neighborhoods were meant to be.October 2022There are three things about Royal Oaks I want to mention to you:1. The people. The people on the staff are just special! Caring and responsive! The residents are people you'll want to get to know and appreciate! They are very good neighbors. This is a true neighborhood!2. The place. The setting here is remarkable - eighteen acres of old growth oak and sycamore trees growing as they have for over a hundred years in a semi-rural community nestled at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains with Southern California climate! And even horses grazing lazily in the pasture across the road!3. The "atmosphere." I would describe the atmosphere as good California vibrations! It's a place you feel good coming home to. People you want to sit down and talk with. To swap amusing and not always wholesome (nor even true) stories with. A fun place on a Saturday night! A place to be with that special someone!

My name is Jean Voznick. My husband and I moved to Royal Oaks 3 years ago. We found this place to be a perfect place for us. There were so many activities and events in which to participate we found ourselves busy most of the time. The first year was wonderful. My husband had some health issues that got worse and we found that the care in the critical care facility was outstanding. I could walk up to Bradbury Oaks every day to visit him. After 2 years here he passed away. I feel very fortunate to have been in such a caring place with so much support. Royal Oaks has so many wonderful and interesting people here. It is a rich environment in which to be a part. We have a putting contest every week, chair volleyball 3 times each week, bridge, mexican train, twenty one, book clubs, Skip Bo, many field trips and special events. The food here is outstanding with a special chef. I live on the bottom floor with 4 outside patios, lots of flowers and several bird feeders. A perfect place for this bird lover. Come join us!!!!

My husband and I have lived at Royal Oaks for two and a half yeas. When we were researching the senior communities in our area, we had decided on a particular one. Doing due diligence, we made a trip to Royal Oaks and loved it from first sight. We have been thrilled with the fabulous food, wonderful new family of supportive friends and the offerings of any kind of activity one could possibly want. We felt so well cared for during the pandemic and our family is delighted to know that we can have our medical needs all handled right here. Amy Macklin

The staff have been very helpful and they even found a service to help mom move into the community. She loves the food and they have a lovely dining room. They are renovating some things, The grounds are magnificent. The apartments are nice and spacious, The residents are welcoming, outgoing and happy. They go the distance to help a new person feel welcome. I would recommend this community.

Royal Oaks gets a thumbs up. My parents are pretty happy there. Their stove doesn't work and they do have some maintenance issues but the staff are working on it. They seem responsive. This facility is awesome.
