My 95 year old father was at Brookdale for 5 months before he passed away. He was also there 10 years ago for a short time recovering from bypass surgery. He had a wonderful experience.My father always tried to attend all the activities, bingo, exercise class, arts & crafts, as well as happy hour & the ice cream social.Marla, who helps lead the activities, always made my dad smile.He would light up when she came to say hi to him. Everyone treated my dad like family. He enjoyed the staff who took excellent care of him. It gave me peace of mind that he was well taken care of. Communication was excellent, starting with the front desk, with Rose, April & Brenda. They always had time to chat with him & greeted me by name with a smile. When I needed something, I could call them & they would try to help. The caregivers, Raymond, as well as the med techs, Kris & Erlinda, as well as others were kind & communicated issues about my dad & tried to solve them with me or with the head coordinator, Cheriz.Whenever I had concerns Cheriz would always listen & take action. Nathan, Director of dining services, would always work to help me coordinate my dad's special diet. He would always come out of the kitchen to talk with me or check on my dad to make sure he got the correct meal. Helen, the director, was also very kind & supportive. When an issue would arise she would be willing to talk about it & solve it. I wish my dad would have been at Brookdale longer. I will always have a warm place in my heart for Brookdale & its wonderful staff.

Temper your expectations of Brookdale's ability to to care about your parents (referred to as "Mom" and "Dad" by the often-changing management). Clearly, there are kind and caring staff who work there. Our caution applies to Brookdale, as a whole. Especially, its management. Based on my mother's experience there as a six-year resident and our friends' and family's observations, the care and quality steadily declined while the fees noticeably increased each year. The food taste/quality especially became increasingly disappointing. A DoorDash or other similar app to order food from outside the facility for your loved one is highly recommended. During my mother's last days there, she reported not being checked on for four consecutive days while she was not feeling well as a result of contracting RSV there. She would eventually call the paramedics herself to be taken to the hospital where she would pass away a week later. Our expectations hit a disturbing low when, even after their being aware of my mother being taken to the hospital by ambulance, no one from the facility even called to check on her (a resident of six years). The facility provides its residents a place to stay and feeds them. But if you are expecting a facility equipped with sufficient staffing to genuinely care for your loved one (i.e., being regularly checked on or medical personnel to promptly attend to them if they call for medical assistance) and decent meals, you may want to adjust your expectations accordingly.

I love my room. It's large and spacious and accommodates my queen size bed, has a walk in closet that accommodates my plentiful wardrobe.I am looking forward to furnishing it further to my liking since I've lived here for nine months. I love the staff, they're wonderful. They cater to my needs and are very friendly. It's great to have 3 square meals a day and then some. There are many activities that I enjoy. I find most residents to be very friendly.

This was my first experience working with an assisted living facility and I am very pleased with the professionalism and care that the staff has provided. Especially Tristian, he has made himself available to me and my Grandmother long after we signed the dotted line. His attentiveness and empathy is a clear representation of Brookdale's philosophy. The facility in of itself is great as well. Plenty of space and activities are available. My Grandmother's only complaint is that there's too much food!

My aunt Alice just celebrated her 103rd birthday at Brookdale Chatsworth senior living.They went above and beyond. Alice says she has made this age only because they take such great care of her. Her family is very Grateful that we can celebrate with her and all of their great staff. Thank you Brookdale.Niece, sandy roberts ❤️.

Brookdale Chatsworth was a good, larger place. My aunt liked this place more than the other community. I thought the rooms were fine. They were larger than most of the places we looked at. Everything was fine. The food was top notch. I didn't observe many of the activities. We saw people going into activities. I felt it was a thriving community for the elderly. My interaction with the staff was excellent.

We chose Brookdale Chatsworth because it had the largest room available and the people were really nice. The food was for older people with no salt and little seasoning, but it was well prepared and presented. It was tasty enough. There was always something going on. People were out and about, and they all spoke to us. The atmosphere seemed very pleasant, open, and light, and there were lots of attractive pictures on the walls.

Brookdale Chatsworth was fine but it would cost too much money for me. Everybody was nice. I had no complaints. The place was clean, and neat. The rooms were nice. I suppose the price was reasonable-enough at $4,000 for people who can afford it. The dining-area was nice. The atmosphere was fine. They do all kinds of activities there.

We went to Brookdale Chatsworth. It was close to our home, nice, clean, and inviting. The staff was warm and friendly. The rooms were clean, well kept, modernized, and well suited for seniors. The food was excellent. They would take trips monthly and have cultural activities highlighting a different culture each month. When I visited, it was Egypt, and they had Egyptian folk dancers and musicians come in. The amenities and activities were nice. They had a nice social room, a gaming room, a nice library, and a computer room.

My mother-in-law is in Brookdale Chatsworth. The rooms are very nice and roomy, and the caring and friendliness of the staff impresses me. They have a restaurant-style dining room. The food is pretty good. They have a lot of activities for seniors to do and have outings. They probably need to improve on their medicine management department and the response time for someone to come to the room when you need them.

Brookdale Chatsworth (Formerly Emeritus at Chatsworth) was very nice. Their rooms were very spacious, and the prices were a lot better. We didn't meet too many people there, but the people that we met were very nice. We had not seen any activities, and they did not seem to have as many opportunities as the other place we visited, but the atmosphere seemed nice.

I have my sister in Brookdale, and it seems to be working really well. She has a new roommate. She is really capable of taking care of herself, but they take care of all of her meds. She loves to play bingo and watch the movies, and she does the exercise. For her, she is very happy with the way the facility is set-up. Most of all, she is very happy there, and she really likes the food. She has no complaint about anybody. We asked for a couple of things to be added like an extra bar in the bathroom for the shower, and they have it done on the same day. When we have something that needs to be repaired, the person comes in and fixes it the same day. Truthfully, I don't see any issues with that company right now.

I like the cleanliness of Brookdale, the people, and the cafeteria. They have a menu with a good balanced diet and snacks. They do have activities. It's a very nice place, but it’s huge. The rooms were nice; it could be private or shared. They were clean, nicely kept, and they were also adding more rooms to the place. The staff was very friendly and very nice. I wasn’t able to make an appointment, but she was able to tour me. They’ve done a fantastic job. They had exercise, a waiting room, movies, they go on outings, and they’ve been pretty active.
