Amazing company providing better home care than competitors!!!! HCA Burlingame is focused on pairing quality caregivers with clients. They do a great job assessing the individual client needs and finding the right caregiver fit. In COVID, they are taking excellent precautions to keep clients and caregivers safe, including providing PPE and training to staff working with COVID+ clients. I would not trust that other companies are taking the same precautions. All the HCA staff are friendly and patient, especially the head of operations--Katie--who goes above and beyond for the clients she compassionately serves. Thank you, HCA Burlingame!!!!

I just joined Home Care Assistance Burlingame. I was surprised for immediately when i finished my orientation i was given an assignment right away. Ive been a caregiver for almost 15 years and had some agencies that I worked with. Home Care Assistance in Burlingame is one of the best agencies Ive worked for. They understand our needs and helped us if we encounter issues with clients, families, or with co-workers. Ive been working with Angelie Durano and Chess De Guzman and both are excellent. I worked with HCA for at least 6 months to care for my mom. Their management staff was highly responsive and engaged, working proactively to best manage a caregiver team. After some fine tuning we found a phenomenal primary caregiver for my mom that was incredible. In the Bay Area finding high quality help can be difficult and HCA worked hard to provide only the best.

I have been working with Home Care Assistance for several months and I could not be more pleased. The care is for my Mother who has Alzheimers and needs assistance on the weekends. Katie Schowengerdt who is the Client Care Manger, is wonderful to work with. She has always responded in a quick and professional manner. We have had a few bumps in the road and Katie is always there to correct the issue in a timely manner.

We were in need of caregivers for a two week span and we certainly had an angel on our shoulder. HCAs representative, Katie, was such a professional and she listened to our wants and needs and turned everything upside down to please a very particular client. The caregivers were knowledgeable, well-versed, took instruction and very warm and pleasant. It takes a lot to please this one individual and the mere fact that they lasted the full two weeks is a testament to a job well done. I would recommend HCA to anyone looking to care for a loved one.

This is the very best care you can get for a loved one on the Peninsula. When my mom was released from the hospital after pneumonia I needed a care giver the next day. After calling agencies that didnt pick up the phone, I called Home Care Assistance of Burlingame and Katie answered right away. In this difficult and emotional time, Katie was so very helpful and accommodating. She had an excellent care giver for us the next day. My mom bonded with her very quickly. We had 2 care-givers from HCAB and they were both outstanding. They record notes every day about the care provided in a journal, and did a terrific job for my mom to bathe and groom her. They prepared delicious healthy meals including home-made chicken soup! Care giving is the top priority at HCAB. They are very flexible in scheduling and the rates are reasonable.

Hi. Im a very private person so I dont use my real name on social media, nor do I generally write reviews, but I wanted to share my opinion here. We live in San Carlos. My 94 year old father, who lives with us, fell in the backyard (yes hes active!) and dislocated and shattered his shoulder. He had surgery locally and while still in the hospital, had a heart attack. We finally brought him home 10 days ago after setting up 24-7 care with Home Care Assistance. I was unfamiliar with all these services, but someone I trust recommended them. Frankly I was not sure how it would work out having caregivers in the house. Its actually been wonderful. We have had exceptional caregivers and outstanding service. Weve had a small group of caregivers sharing the times and they have gone above and beyond our expectations. They are kind, gentle, help in all sorts of ways, and Dad (who is very clear-headed) really enjoys visiting with them and swapping stories as they work towards making him independent and strong once again. This is a FIVE STAR place. My top recommendation. Ask for Katie who is the Care Coordinator.

I recently contacted Home Care Assistance to care for my mom who spent some time in the hospital and in a skilled nursing facility. My process for selecting an elderly care agency involved contacting and interviewing at least three agencies, getting to know the coordinators-managers on the phone, and doing an in-person meeting with my mom. As soon as I met Katie, I felt at ease with the service Home Care Assistance would provide. She is extremely caring, professional, accessible, and responsive. My mom needed stand-by assist while continuing her rehabilitation at home. Katie was accommodating to our schedule and was able to split hours with two caregivers to minimize overtime. She was able to find caregivers with the right personality for my mom. One caregiver in particular was extremely understanding, responded in the right way to moms needs, and had a great personality fit with mom and the physical therapists and nurses that came by for visits. If I had to hire a caregiver again, she would be our top pick! If it werent for Katie and the Home Care Assistance team, my mom probably wouldnt have gotten the confidence she needed to recuperate this quick. Having a person there during the day to stand-by and help when needed, without interfering with moms independence, was very important. Thank you Home Care Assistance for understanding and being responsive to our needs!

A big thanks to Home Care Assistance for providing a skilled, compassionate caregiver to help my 93-year-old mother while she was recovering from hip surgery. Although it was a challenging situation for several reasons, the caregiver did an excellent job overseeing my mothers daily prescribed exercises and walks to build up her strength. Ani at the Home Care Assistance office was always available and responsive, and she worked hard in the beginning to find us the best fit for my mothers condition and personality. We couldnt have gotten through that difficult period without the caregiver. I would highly recommend the Home Care Assistance Burlingame office for anyone looking for contracted care services.
