Due to their terrible business model, malpractice issues, and a complete lack of customer service... they have lost considerable business to us. As a result, they are trying their best to tarnish our reputation. If there was any dissatisfaction with our services, prices, or any other issue, we would like challenge these "reviewers" to come forward and deal with us directly.These FAKE reviews will be flagged for inappropriate and misleading content and harassment.

Ross place is great but the pharmacy whose flyers they were distributing is not honest. They say that the have the lowest prescription price in Victoria BC when they don’t. THat Hansdeep Bawa is just a crooked pharmacist plain and simple. The pharmacy has trick pricing.

The Fort Royal Pharmacy advertising here gives patients lowest price guarantee then increases it on them when they aren't watching. Not very ethical

My mom has been there for 3 yes and the staff is wonderful a the food is good too.Its not the best neighborhood ,alot of homeless walking around but I feel she is safe staying indoors.

Are these reviews about Ross Place or Fort Royal Pharmacy? We have dealt with this pharmacy for years and are very satisfied. Sounds like bogus reviews.

The staff are great. My mother's best friend lived here and ended up getting scammed by the Fort Royal Pharmacy that was advertising here. They told her that they had the lowest price in town. They gave her a low price quote then increased the prices on her big time after they got her business. She ended up paying $90 a month more than she was at Save-on-Foods.

My partners mom just went into ross place about 2 months ago and she loves it.....We looked at other properties but Ross place just felt like home to her, lots of activities and great food. We also looked at Berwick Shelbourne really nice as well but Ross Place was just closer to us. I hope this helps when looking for a retirement home.

Enjoyed our short stay at Ross Place. A comfy suite, 3 good meals a day, a variety of activities, movies, entertainment..and a top notch management staff. Planning for future...Ross Place is at the top of our list.

Recently Ross Place was bought by a NoN-Profit company. (2017) This was a great change. Therefore some of the earlier reviews are really not legit anymore. Best thing to do is visit and get a feel for it. Ross Place also has a new Manager (2017) that is clearly the Best change there. He is Fantastic and is genuinely a very kind can caring fella that will do his best for all the residents. The other staff, concierge, dining room, kitchen, cleaning etc. are kind and great listeners to the folks that live there and the visitors too. There are some small issues but you need only talk to someone or put an anonymous note in the suggestion box and they will attend to it. I do feel the nutrition needs of the residents needs some work. They are very open to fixing that .. if you do not tell them, they do not know 🙂 I urge the residents when they talk to me, to make suggestions etc. but most often they do not want to cause trouble. It has good activities daily inside (yoga, meditation, art and music classes, tai-chi, movie theater, exercise room, games, happy hour with entertainment) and outside (bus trips) 3x a week plus an appointment bus 2x a week. All around I am happy that my parent lives there (2.5 yrs). It is a nice, safe, clean and caring place.P.S. I have to say the delivery charge for food to your room is Free when you are not well. If you just don't feel like going to one of the 2 dining rooms they will charge you $5. (It was $8 before new ownership) I believe that is in part to encourage the residents to come to the dining room to socialize. They encourage residents to stay in their rooms when not well for sure and if in fact you are just home from the hospital it is the rule to stay in your room for 2 days so as not to spread the unknown that you may have picked up. Meals delivered free in this case also.
