I am concerned for your residents., and prospective residents, and visitors, by the lack of attention and upkeep to the forefront and side garden areas. Weeds and debris, graffiti on parking wall, are very apparent this year.

My father has been there for over 3 months. The environment is so nice and the people are super warm and friendly. The Wellness Director who pretty much manages everything, is amazing and makes it a point to ensure my dad's needs are met.

My mom, who has stage 4 cancer, moved to Burnaby and into Rideau about 4 months ago. We have found the staff and management to be very warm and kind, accommodating and knowledgeable. The building is safe and secured and in an ideal location. We feel confident that she is in one of (if not the) best retirement/assisted living residence in Burnaby.

My 88-year old mother has been living at the Rideau for a couple of months now. She and our family are very satisfied overall with this excellent retirement residence. From the very beginning we were made to feel welcome by Mary Kay who showed us around the first time. Mom started off with a 30-day respite to try out living in an independent living situation. That turned into a decision to move to the Rideau permanently after a couple of weeks there. An attractive aspect to the Rideau is that assisted living services are available if and when they are required. For an extra fee we soon contracted for medication management services which have been a welcome twice-a-day service for Mom. Thanks to Jaena and her Wellness staff for providing this and other care to the residents. Mom loves the food at the Rideau too and kudos to Executive Chef Chris for presenting excellent food choices to the residents at every meal. My girlfriend and I have dined with Mom on occasion and we both feel that Mom is eating better than we are these days! The 24-hour concierge service has been a blessing too when Mom needed some assistance around midnight one day. We appreciate the patience and kindness with which the concierges deal with the residents and their needs - Maria, Bonnie, Nicole and the other concierge staff are to be commended for the work they do. All in all GM Teena and her team, including Retirement Counsellor Christina, are running a warm and welcoming family-oriented retirement residence that we are very happy to say is now our mother's new home.

The staff at the Rideau are amazing. My mother was treated with the utmost care, attention and support from the time she arrived in need after a recent stroke to the time she left. The facility has all the comforts a senior needs and is close to restaurnts and stores for all to enjoy. We want to thank Mary Kay in particular for her empathy, understanding and kindness when we needed it most. Best regards.

My mother has lived here for 6 mos now. She, my husband, and I, can’t get over how friendly and helpful all the staff are(from GM to concierge to housekeeping), and how well run the place is. Rideau is clean and organized, offer lots of activities and events, and the meals are varying, healthy, and delicious. All the staff seem to know my mother by name and happily greet her whenever they see her, which warms my heart. I’d recommend Rideau Mani to any senior.
