My mother moved into the Cottages in May. Since September with a new Director & new Activities Director it’s been a wonderful experience. My mom is truly happy there & feels like a home with friends. They’ve had fun with painting, games, people/children singing etc. i highly recommend for an elderly family member.

Wonderful facility - friendly, attentive staff - and caring, professional leadership . . . the qualities that make a wonderful senior housing experience a reality! I have been so very pleased since moving my father into Columbia Cottage - Mountain Brook, and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking an assisted living for their loved ones to live.

My Mother has been a resident of Columbia Cottage in Mountain Brook since 2016. I wanted to bring Mother to South Florida, but she has lived in Alabama for over 40 years, and she wanted to stay there. Now, with the Covid 19 situation, I am so thankful that Mother is in Alabama. Many of the ACLFs and nursing homes in South Florida have suffered from infections. Even though I am not able to visit her at the moment, I am very thankful to know that Mother is safe.

I love being an RA at the Cottages. Mr. David is amazing ED and Ms. Julie our nurse is amazing. We are smaller but thats what makes us so special for your loved ones. They become our extended family and the team at the Cottages are family.

Columbia Cottage Mountain Brook is clean and quaint and the staff know all their residents since this is a smaller community. Leslie Carter and David Butero went above and beyond to accommodate a quick admission process. My mother received wonderful care there and staff kept me posted on any health concerns since I lived out of state. Leslie also was very helpful when I moved my mother to be closer to me. My mother made some very good friends there whom she misses but they still stay in touch. I can not thank Leslie and David enough for all that they did for my mother.

My sister has been a resident at Columbia Cottage for over two years, and she was drawn to it from the very first visit. After visiting some larger assisted living facilities in the area, she liked the smaller size and homey atmosphere, the attractive physical surroundings, and the friendly manner of the staff; she still does. She feels safe there, and that makes me feel good. I am impressed with how the staff members show concern for her well-being, and their accessibility to me when I need to express a concern about my sister. I also appreciate the way family members are welcomed when they choose to have a guest meal at Columbia Cottage with their family resident. The guest table always looks attractive, the food is delicious, and there is always service with a smile! My sister frequently comments about the attractive halls, the immaculately groomed grounds, and how well the building is maintained. I highly recommend Columbia Cottage. Try it -- youll like it!

I was made very welcomed, the diector kept in touch we met such a sweetheart. They had fresh cookies and i met the head cook that asked me about his likes and dislikes with his diet went on tour it was so clean and the atmosphere was so peaceful i would have got a dwelling there if i was older. But just to say i would recommend this place highly. The director she is petite in statue but big in integrity thank you so much.

My mother loved being here. It is like a second family. The home is bright and cheery with activities all the time. They have different size rooms that should fit any need.

My mother lived at Columbia Cottage in Mountain Brook for almost two years until her death. The facilities are nice and well maintained and the staff was MORE than nice to her.
